I got my Flex for Mother's Day. I had researched the different fitness bands, and I really liked the great reviews on the Flex. It reminds me that I need to get up and move to make my 10,000 steps a day. I do like the way I can log my food, and is shows how many calories that I have burned exercising and how many calories that I have left to eat. I think the Flex has made me want to be more active. The only thing I have not liked is finding the cute colored replacement bands. The teal is cute for work, but I really wanted a pink or a white to wear othertimes. I did buy some of the cute colored bands off of ebay.

Great item for fitness tracking. It will do as much or as little as you like. The size is what I like best about it besides the functions. Easy to set up and use.

Like that I can do everything from my phone, counts steps, can track your diet and your sleep habits. Very simple to use and don't notice it on my wrist as I thought.

    Reminder to be fit

This thing is great for people who are starting to get fit. It is a constant reminder to walk those stairs to gain extra steps towards your step goal. I have it synced with my fitness pal app and it auto updates to account for the energy expended for just walking normally. I have a Samsung Galexy S III and enjoy using the NFC on both to open the fitbit app. It doesn't alway link as you would want it when using the NFC. if it doesn't work then it is faster just to open the app manually. The flex needs to be charged every 5-6 days which is easy to do by just slipping it into the charger a few hours. I enjoy how easy it is to record my sleeping patterns by quickly double tapping the flexbit to start recording in the sleep mode and double tapping it when I wake up. It's all about tracking your patterns of sleeping, exercise, and weight improvement. If the smart watches come out with similar battery life, third party app integration, and can track the same stuff I would probably use those instead especially as I find myself checking the flexbit for the time all the time. Until then I will continue using the flexbit.

I had a Fitbit Zip which I really liked but wanted to go to the next level so I brought the Flex. I love how it tracks your sleep and sleep quality. I have walked and counted steps and it is always correct. I love that I can wear it in the shower. My main disappointment is that you have to buy extra bands for another color besides black or blue and now the next generation is coming out and I have only had this for less then 2 months. That's electronics! This system has really helped me with my exercise and eating as it connects to My Fitness Pal.

    excitement turned into disappointment

Mixed feelings...I was very excited about my Fitbit Flex when I bought it for my 50th birthday which was last month and started using it as part of my efforts and goals for this year. I've worn it every day for the past two months and it has definitely helped me be more aware of my activity levels and motivated me to do more. I track my steps daily, but I only used the sleep and food tracking regularly when I first got it, but got tired of it and became less consistent about that part. My band broke even though it's just been normal wear, it wasn't used roughly or in adverse conditions. I guess it's more fragile than I expected so maybe taking it off sometimes and also having to remove it from the band weekly to charge is a factor. I've shared my enthusiasm about this product with friends, family and even some people I recently met. So I would have recommended it initially, and still think it has had some positive impact and features, but now I'm disappointed with this purchase. It didn't hold up like I expected and I don't think I got my money's worth. I know that they sell extra bands as an option, but it should last longer. I also notice he app shows that some friends that had been using fitbit before aren't using it at this time "no recent activity". One took a break from it because she got a rash on the arm she wore it on.

This one doesn't do quite as much as some of the higher end trackers, but for the price it is pretty hard to beat. My wife is the one using it and she is satisfied with the fracker and the Fitbit app. The band is okay, but was starting to look a little dirty. We read some reviews and most seemed to think this was from picking up dye from clothes. We bought some aftermarket bands (about $10 for 3 on Amazon) and they haven't had the same problem yet. All around good

Good item for tracking your daily activeness

This item is good for tracking how active you are on a daily basis. It's not great because it appears to use your arms motion to track your steps. If you use your hands a lot while talking to people, it will seem like you are walking a little more than you really are. I just take it off if I'm going to be doing something upper body based (like playing fetch or tug-o-war with my dog) and put it back on when I'm done. Other than that, it has the ability to keep track of a lot of things on top of steps. You can input what food you ate during the day to calculate calorie intake vs. how much you burn (another statistic it tracks) and also how much water you're drinking. Those have to be done through the app on your phone but it helps if you have trouble keeping track of your daily diet. My favorite part is the sleep tracker. A few taps and it goes into "sleep mode" and tracks when you're asleep, "restless", or awake. Overall, it's a tad bit pricey for me since I don't use all the features that come with it but I'm getting my money's worth out of the features I do use so I'm happy with my purchase.

I had one a long time ago but it got recalled went without for awhile then was able to get a great deal on the latest model. How I went without it daily is astounding. This little piece of equipment it worth every penny and more as it truly motivates you to push towards your goal. Competing with others in challenges means you'll never get bored. Oh i have an Apple Watch on my left wrist and still have this tracker in my right. I'm an Apple product lover and have the trifecta but this is the most accurate tracker out there. And the U.I. is tops. Don't hesitate. Get it.

I love this product. It is very accurate. This is the second Fitbit I purchased. I purchased the Fitbit One and lost it. I had become so accustomed to using it, I had to go out and purchase this one. The fitbit flex is better because less chance that you will lose it. Put it on your wrist and leave it there. You take it off to charge the battery - you can even shower in it. I will not be without my FITBIT!!!

This one was a replacement for my original which began having problems about 5 months ago. It was becoming difficult to recharge & finally stopped communicating with phone/tablet/laptop. The original wristband starting splitting after about a year. This is a result of method required to r & r the unit in the wristband. Overall the unit premise has helped me keep active despite medical issues and allows me to keep better track of my daily steps.
