Easy to use once you set it up. The app is very useful to help you track your activity during the day. I enjoy the badges you are awarded when you reach a goal.

This thing is great. Love the functionality and the small size. This has moved my steps and stair count up to the front of my daily radar, which is awesome.

Wonderful motivational tool for everyday use. Easy To wear, discreet- some issues with tracking when hands are not free. For Example, when I am pushing a stroller, it tends to not track). Some issues tracking sleep. Otherwise really good, and very happy to have it. Wish that they sold alternate colored bands for this as opposed to just the three pack. Hope this helps

I'm very happy w/my Fitbit! Most importantly, it's provided me with a great incentive to increase my physical activity. I like the ease it gives me in keeping track of my water intake as well as the ability to track my weight loss & sleep patterns. Finally, I LOVE the silent alarm. I was unaware of this feature, but it's great; I use if frequently! I would definitely recommend this product to someone who's looking for a fun & effective motivator!

The only complaint I have is that both of the bands broke within a week after purchasing the product. I was doing nothing other than putting the tracking device into the band. However, I contacted Fitbit and they are sending me a new band. Other than that, the device works great. I love the Fitbit iPhone app. I'm not exactly sure how accurate the device is, but I plan to calculate my stride length and change this in my settings once I receive my new band.

I originally bought the fit bit so that I could get a more accurate read of the level of calories burned during my workouts. Here is what I love about the fitbit: - accurately counts your steps. If you are like me you'll be motivated to walk more. - gives you an idea of how many calories you burn on your most active days as well as when you are mostly sedentary. - tracks your sleeping habits - long battery life - wrist band has a nice design - provides weekly summaries of your progress via email - gives you your progress in real time via smartphone or computer - it tells you based on how active you are and your fitness goals how many calories you can safely eat throughout the day. LOVE THAT! What I'd like to see improve: - your "active minutes" are really measured by how quickly your moving. So a brisk walk from your car to the mall will count. On my toning days and certain cardio moves during workouts I am not getting credit although I would consider myself to be "active". Although you can manually log your active minutes I'd like to see the scope of what is considered "active minutes" expand so that I don't have to take the time to do so myself. - the newly added exercise log leaves much to be desired as well as the extremely limited food log. I still prefer my fitness pal for both. I stopped logging my food all together because it took too much effort. When I was logging I liked how it compared my calorie intake to my daily goal, tracking whether I am under or over my daily calorie intake goal. - there needs to be a more efficient way to track how many calories you are burning while working out. What I currently do is take a screen shot of my log before my workout in order to compare the difference after my workout. There had got to be a better way. Overall, I like the product and I use each day faithfully. But there is definitely room for this product to grow.

Overall the Fitbit Flex does exactly what it claims to do. It tracks steps, distance, calories, weight, sleep, water, etc. and all in a very easy to use app (on my iPhone). To get the full effect of the app however, you have to be diligent in your data entry. You have to routinely enter your meals after you eat, enter how much water you drank per day, weigh yourself and enter your weight consistently, add your exercises, and remember to put it in to sleep mode when you are heading to bed. I was trying my best to keep this updated for the first few days but that quickly trailed off and now I just use it to track my steps, my sleep, and I use it as an alarm (doesn't wake up someone sleeping next to you). I do enjoy the Flex and if I kept up with the data entry it would be awesome, but apparently I don't care enough. :/ Also after wearing it for a week straight, when I take it off to charge it I feel like the Genie being free'd from his lamp at the end of Aladdin (spoiler alert). It's not a burden to wear or anything, just nice to take it off every now and then.

Not as good as Fitbit One

Had a Fitbit One, but lost it several times, since it's so small. Finally figured out how not to lose it--by putting it on a keychain with a big metal coin, so if I drop it, I hear it. However, during the time I couldn't find it, I bought the Flex. The Flex doesn't measure stairs and it doesn't have a display, so I gave it to my spouse, and now I'm trying to figure out how to have both download their info to our tablet and PC separately. Also, in order to have sleep tracked, you have to remember to tap it to get it into sleep mode. The One automatically detects sleep when you put it into the wrist band. Also, the Flex wristband is very hard to close until you break it in. What's nice is that it comes with two wristbands, a large and a small, so it was easy to give it to my spouse and have it fit.
