I've been using this for a couple of weeks. I find I am more likely to park further away, take the stairs, walk the long way around, etc. so I can meet my goal. I am ordering one for my husband as I think a little competition will add just a little more incentive to keep moving. I am also ordering the Aria scale so we can quickly and easily stay on top of weight fluctuations. I'm not consistent in adding sleep, water and food updates because I can't use my iPad, and I don't like typing on the phone. I hope they will eventually make it compatible with the iPad 2. (It supposedly works with the iPad 3). It is comfortable to wear, but a little difficult to fasten on, so glad I can leave it on in the shower. A little pricey, but worth it if it will help me to focus more on how much "exercise" I am getting each day. That little extra incentive helps!

Simple to use, the app is easy to navigate, and it does exactly what it says it will do. I love being able to see my progress throughout the day and hold myself accountable for reaching the goals I've set. I also like tracking my exercise and seeing my improvements. Only complaint is I wish it would buzz when the battery is low, and the sleep tracking isn't always accurate (however that's not what I purchased this for, so a minor complaint). Overall I love it!

I'm very happy with my fitbit. Love the alarm on it. Easy to operate and check the data. Love when it vibrates and tells me I've reached 10,000 steps. Just wish it charged quicker. I have purchased several different colored brackets and bands(Extra security that I don't lose it).

She enjoys it alot and competes with her friends who actually have one too. The only thing that has happened is that when she was charging it overnight, it tracked her as running 30 miles. She of course got all the badges too. It's only happened once but threw off her week average. It was either a small mishap or she has some serious sleepwalking issues.

I would highly recommend this device as one to easily track all the things you want to know if you're trying to track your weight and daily food and water intake. This device logs just enough information to be helpful, but doesn't track unnecessary information which could make it a hard to understand or overwhelming device. It syncs to your computer as well as your smartphone which allows you to keep up with your information as often as you like. Great little device!

This is my second Fitbit activity tracker. The first one lasted a year. This was easy to set up and has been reasonably accurate at tracking the number of steps I take. I question its algorithm for calculating intensity of activity. I have been able to use it for 7 days before charging. The charger works better on this one than my previous model. I insert the tracker and plug the charger into a USB port on a surge protector. It recharges in approximately 3 hours. I have found the battery lasts longer when I don't frequently check the number of steps I've taken by tapping the tracker in the bracelet. I like the sleep tracker function--it is easy to set it to sleep mode at night and wake it up in the morning. I'm hoping that removing the tracker regularly from the bracelet and letting it air dry will extend its life beyond 12 months.

I previously owned the Fitbit One, and though I didn't have any problems or issues with it, I much prefer the Flex. The Flex is always on you (it even tracks your sleep), so you never miss any steps when you're first getting up in the morning, getting out of the shower, etc. Unlike the One (or any other Fitbit tracker to my knowledge), the Flex is waterproof, and it hasn't failed me yet after using it in the pool, shower, washing dishes, etc. The only thing I miss about the One is that you could see your exact step count instantly. The Flex only shows yours steps in 20% of total goal increments (2000 steps for me). That's not a big issue, though, as long as you have a bluetooth enabled phone so you can sync your Flex with your phone to see all your stats. The silent alarm is awesome, though I've had some trouble turning it off occasionally, and sometimes I have trouble getting the Flex to go into or out of sleep mode. I've got a contest going with friends where we each try to hit 10,000 steps every day, and the Flex has been a huge motivator in my fitness life. I would highly recommend it.

The Fitbit flex is a really nice activity tracker. I started using it about a month ago and have lost about 5lbs. I really like that it constantly reminds me that I need to take more steps. The bluetooth sync is a really nice feature so I can upload my data on the go. The accuracy can be better, I need to calculate my stride distances because I definitely walk/run farther than my tracker tells me. I think for the price it's a good value, gps trackers are really expensive and I think this does the trick. If you're looking for a reason to be motivated and get a pretty good idea about your daily fitness I would totally recommend this. There's nothing better than hitting your goals for the day and then going out and exceeding them. I'd say overall I've kept my motivation up and even feel bad when I don't exercise as much.

My only complaint is the price. Given that the Charge is now out and tells the time, as well as having caller ID for your mobile device, the flex should be a lot cheaper since it is less feature rich, Still a great product though

Got this for Christmas to track daily activity and record daily calories. Down 10+ pounds in just over a month. I don't do anything different except watch what I eat now. Fitbit does a good job of estimating calories burned for the day and tells you how many calories you can eat. Stay under what you burn and you will lose weight. Want that pizza Friday night? Take a walk for an hour and earn the calories. Very easy to see where you are at during the day.

I bought two of these, slate & black, to give to my wife for her birthday with a promise that I would wear one also. It has worked well to remind each of us how much physical activity we get or not each day. Another friend is using it also so we have the challenge of her totals to compare each day.
