I traded this one in after just 3 weeks and decided to go with the Jawbone UP band.

The fitbit I bought looked like the package had been opened and it probably was. The enclosed fitbit was purple, not black like the package said, and it wouldn't charge. I will be returning it soon as I can.

This is my fourth Fitbit. They all have died within months of purchase. This one only needed five weeks. I didn't buy the protection plan ($19.99) so Best Buy was no help. I called Fitbit. They said they would send a new one. I've been waiting four weeks.

This product is not reliable, it says you did things you know you didn't do. I liked the idea of it, but when it said I had walked 2 miles when I had been sitting in rehearsal most of the day, or the car, I was disenchanted. It had been mistaken on other things, but this was ridiculous.

I LOVE my fitbit one! I have had it a few days and being the competitive type person I want to see it reach high numbers. It is small enough that I can clip it where I want and no one knows I have it on me! For those that have mentioned it falls off the belt or whatever easily I don't see how. The clip is so strong it is hard to get on and off. The fitbit one actually slips into a silicone cover (like a wii remote) and the silicon clip really grips the garments. Just to be safe though I have it either clipped facing inward in my pocket (so if it falls it will drop into my pocket) or my favorite place is on the front of my bra. No one knows it's there, I have it pointing in so that again if it drops it is caught. The only problem with this position is if I decide to check I avoid doing it in public. Great motivator and I LOVE how it syncs with myfitnesspal.com which was what I wanted. :)

    Best Pedometer Ever!

I used a Striv Play for a while and wanted to upgrade a little. I knew I didn't want one that I wore on my wrist and the Fit Bit One was perfect. I've had no problems with it. The fit bit itself fits into a rubber holster with a rubber covered metal hook that you are to hook on your pocket facing inwards towards the front of your pants/shorts. I originally had just put it on my belt but found I wasn't getting proper credit for activities (like active minutes). Looking at the website/manual, they have some good diagrams about where to place it. Be sure to place it correctly to accurately measure your steps, etc. The Fitbit app is great and you can "friend" folks and issues daily challenges to them. This has been really motivating. It does have the ability to log calories, but I love "My Fitness Pal" and have used that long before I got the Fitbit. Fortunately the two apps sync together seamlessly. It was very easy to set up. I've had it for a year now I love it. I would highly recommend it.

Main use is to try to get an accurate reading of your daily activities' caloric burn. But really. . . who cares? It's pointless. Use a program to track your calories and type of calories. . . this thing didn't add value to help me achieve my goals, just distraction.

I have only had my Fitbit One for one week and I'm NOT happy. I fully charge my Fitbit one and by mid-day its half way. I have done everything the websites informs us to do but still No IMPROVEMENT. Going to get a refund.

Great product and unreal customer service

So the product is great and fun. It has cool social networking software so you can track your progress against friends, challenging each other as the week goes along or offering support. Maybe most important for some other than the extra benefits is the fact that it is accurate. I suppose many do not care about much of the other stuff. About the customer service, it is seriously wonderful. Great customer service can add a lot of value to a product, and Fitbit provided some of the best customer service I have ever had. I lost my fitbit and as a gesture of goodwill they replaced it with a brand new one for free. This is something I will not forget, and the main motivation for writing this review. A product can be super awesome and amazing but if the customer service sucks and you get that 1 out of 1000 defective product you just wasted some money. You are not going to waste your money with Fitbit.

I have had it for about a month and the last 10 days or so it won't sync with my phone or computer without a complete reboot of the Fitbit. So I have had to reset daily in order for it to keep tracking and syncing correctly.

I am very disappointed that something this costly didn't even last a month. Due to Best Buy's 15 day return policy, I'm now out the money and will have to buy a different product, hopefully one that will last.

Great step & sleep tracker with iPhone 5

Just bought this fitbit & I definitely like it. It seems to be very accurate with the floors I climbed as I kept track on my own. The syncing with the iPhone app works great and have not had issues yet. I will continue to evaluate and if I have any issues I will update. The sleep feature seems pretty good but I have to try it a few times before I can decide if its accurate. The band were you slip your fitbit when you go to sleep is very comfortable so no issues there.

I thought it would sync to my ipad2. In order to keep the battery charged you need a computer. It is much easier to manually add information into my fitness program.

I just love this gadget. I purchased the fitbit force but didn't like the wristband. I like the clip better. Easy to understand and truly helps me stay motivated. I love the sleep feature. I guess at some point I'll get bored with keeping track of my sleep but for now it is meaningful. I like the alarm in the morning. A gentle vibration on the wrist. Worthwhile purchase!
