Excellent for activity, less so for sleep

I evaluated this device for a Welllness Program. For activity, the One is excellent. Being able to check the display anytime for your daily stats provides instant feedback. Clock feature is nice too. Automatic updates with your device(s) is great. I use with an iPad, iPhone and PC. App has some minor issues on the iPad. Love that it emails you when you need to charge it. Charges quickly and has much better battery life than the Jawbone UP band. Registers steps much more accurately than the UP; the UP only gets about 1/2 of what the One detects. Like that it gives you credit for going up stairs. Nice that you can just put it in your pocket - out of sight and doesn't interfere with sleeves. Sleep monitoring is the weakest point. It comes with a velcro wristband. You have to put the One in the pocket in the wristband at bedtime. When I'm half asleep before getting to bed, I usually forget about dealing with the One and wristband. My sleep patterns show little detail as compared to the UP. Overall, I like it much better than the UP band.

Fun device to track your movement during the day and to push you to hit your goals. I do wish the sayings stayed on a little longer. They're so quick i frequently miss them. Sleep mode is pretty worthless as it's very inaccurate. Fits easily even in small pockets and stays attached fairly well to belt loops although I did lose it once when just attached to my waistband, luckily I noticed it on the floor across the room at my office. Fairly costly if your only going to use it as a pedometer but if you want something that sinks to your computer and other fitness programs it's probably worth the price.

    Fitbit Redefines the Fitness Experience

The Fitbit One is a discrete, excellent device. I received my first Fitbit device (Fitbit One) as a Christmas gift. Since then, I have gifted 3 to other friends and co-workers. Fitbit's platform is geared towards making "moving around" more fun and accountable to friends, family, and even strangers. The website and mobile application are user friendly and easy to understand. The device itself is small, and has a great battery life that exceeds 1 week. Fitbit has since became a publicly traded company, and continually develops new ways to engage with other Fitbit users in your local community. The drawbacks of the device are primarily found in the carrying cases available. The clip, while designed well, has a very short shelf life if used often, and its malfunction can ultimately lead to the misplacement of the device. The arm band is too wide for such a small device in my opinion. Overall, I enjoy the perks and accountability that Fitbit has created with their devices. You can cheer on your friends and family, and you can even taunt them daring them to do better. I hope they come out with a new generation of the Fitbit One.

I loved it.. Fitbit's online software is free so you can enter food and keep track of sleep, calories burned, and steps. It's very accurate maybe 5% off. I recommend this over lets say a bodybugg or what ever else is new out there. NO subscription fees and the site has loads of support. Just make sure when taking off your bra, shirt, or pants you remember to remove the fitbit.... I lost the 100$ investment I only had it for 7 months. I will buy the wrist one next time it's a bit more but you can swim with it on. Either way any fitbit product is worth it!

The FitBit One is easy to wear and is very accurate. I have had trouble with inaccurate pedometers in the past, so this is wonderful. And the sleep tracking feature is fabulous! I am much more mindful of my sleep time than I used to be.

    Best Fitbit Yet!

I purchased the original Fitbit in March 2011 and loved it. I upgraded to the Fitbit Ultra as soon as it was released because I really wanted to track the flights of stairs. I then received the Fitbit One for my birthday in November. I have absolutely no complaints about this product. It has been very motivating and I love being able to look at my statistics online. I decided to upgrade to the Fitbit One to allow syncing with my iPad and iPhone. This is a great feature. There are some minor accuracy problems but I am not concerned with absolutely precise data.

I had my fitbit less than 1 year and accidentally put it through the washer. I contacted the company after doing what I could to dry it out to ask for help. To my surprise they asked for a copy of my receipt and the fitbit was replaced with no questions asked. Can't think of any other company that replaces an item when it's not a product defect.

I've had this for almost a week now and am really impressed by it. It seems to be quite accurate and I love the sleep monitoring piece. I also even got a push notification to my phone that my steps were almost there for the day, keep it up! Tracks lots of information and has a nice online community forum as well. I am really liking it. Minor, minor thing--they don't have things like how do they measure a "floor" for the stair counting piece and what in the heck the flower front and center. I had to search for it--but it came up easily when I did. It would be nice in the introduction step through if they just told you up front things like this.

Awesome job Fitbit! Luv my product & you guys have earned A++ for your superior customer service. Dongle was misplaced and they quickly replaced it (within 10 or so days)...No cost to me :-) Granted, it would be nice if they'd gear it towards the Android market as well, but the website makes up for that...I guess :P Might I suggest loading the dongle with a GPS system--not the most tech-knowledgeable but some way to trace the whereabouts of this gadget would be nice...that, or an alternate means to "sync" (remember I'm an Android user) if dongle isn't around. Did I fail to mention how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Fitbit One & the company's customer service, lol

My wife got one and loves it. I got one a few months later and also love it. Great for keeping track of steps once you calibrate it. Easy to use and fits in a pocket or belt. Good clip to hold it on. I like the sleep tracker too.

The fitbit comes with a case and charger . I love this fitbit because I don't have to constantly check it or sync it with my computer. when I log on to my computer it automatically syncs and i can look at my stats instantly. with its small sleek design it is easy to put in your pocket or as they recommend i clip it to my sports bra and I wear it all day. the battery life on this is wonderful. It charges very quickly. The only thing that might be a bit of a hassel is that I have to log my food and alot of the foods I eat arent in there so I have to log in all the nutritional facts which kinda takes a bit of time. You can also join the community where you can motivate others to workout and be healthier. Its a good system.

I love my fitbit. i love that it keeps me focused on staying active and moving around. it subliminally motivates you to walk more steps to reach your goals daily. So far I havent had any problems with it and the battery lasts about 3-4 days. Sleeping with it is pretty good, but every time you move it counts it as a sleep interruption so if you move alot at night it thinks you wake up alot. Other than that it is such a great motivator. I love that it wirelessly uploads your activity to your profile.

The best fitness tracker I've found

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I love the functionality of the Fitbit trackers. In my opinion, the best value is the access to online data reports with no additional charge. The Fitbit One provides step counts and sleep data that the other models don't. It is very easy to use and easy to setup the online account and to receive emailed weekly summaries (a very nice feature). Battery life really does last a week and recharges quickly. The new version is smaller than before and easily carried, but the clip is smaller and doesn't fit over belts or thicker clothing, but I still prefer this model over all the others.

Great little device for tracking overall activity

Even with the Wi-Fi interface issues in initial set up, the support team was excellent and the device works great in counting footsteps, distance, and floors climbed and then estimating calories burned. We also bought the Aria scale to wirelessly interface and track weight and BMI. It's a good system. The worst part of the fitbit is that it's easy to misplace when you're not wearing it. The good news is that I wear it all the time - just not in the shower because it's not waterproof. But other than that, I literally have it on to track my sleep and my daily activity. Good stuff!
