The black/white display makes for great battery life (about 5 days without needing to recharge - this will depend on how much you use the GPS). Works great with the FitBit app too for tracking activity and calories!

This Fitbit Surge is the only one they make that is really compatible for bicyclists. The GPS feature will map out your entire route at the end of the day. Of course some of the numbers it gives you are not correct. Incorrect heart rates are common and so are calories burned. There are so many factors that it just cannot take into account for the calories burned measurement. Still would buy again because many things work well. Battery life falls off dramatically when using GPS function.

This is my first fitbit...I am an avid excersicer but have never bothered to track my health stats until now. After much research I decided on the surge. I like all the features and I am sure once I get better aquainted with it I will like it even more.

So far I really like the Surge. This is my first Fitbit. One thing about this one is you can't change the band on it so keep that in mind if it ever wears out. I think the battery life could be better. I can get about 3 days out of mine between charges. Other than that I like it so far. I just ordered the Charge 2 as well so that if I want to wear a different watch I can still have a smaller Fitbit on my other wrist. I enjoy the mobile app and tracking my steps everyday.

Fitbit Surge > Apple Watch [Fitness]

I won't sit here and type my disdain for Apple Watch (it just isn't a fitness watch, nor does it claim to be one). I bought the Surge after returning my Apple Watch. The battery lasts for days (I've averaged (5-6 days), I don't get the 7-10 days, but this is better than charging it every night (i.e. Apple Watch). I haven't used the GPS function, but I do use this watch for spin class, treadmill runs, and different aerobic exercises. By no means will this watch measure cadence or count blood cells but it gets the job done. Does hitting my 10,000 step goal daily make me a healthy person? Not necessarily, but it helps me gauge my day (how often did I move about?). All in all, I'm a Fitbit fan. I hope we have a long, prosperous relationship. I hope firmware updates continue to improve the watch and I hope it structurally holds up.

I replaced my Microsoft Band with a Fitbit Surge and could not be happier. The battery life (if you leave off phone notifications) is about 7 days. My band lasted 1 1/2 days, which was horrible. I also like the updated Fitbit app much better than MS's offering. The heart-rate history view is very cool. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fitness tracker!

I bought my daughter this Fitbit and she absolutely loves it. The only thing that is bad everytime you wash your hands you have to take it off. But that is the only thing that she doesn't like. The only thing. It has helped her to exercise in the most fun way ever. She loves the reward that she gets when she has met her goals. It is the very best gift I have ever given her.

The Fitbit Surge is an excellent device. The step tracker is excellent for day to day use. It looks and feels great. The heart rate monitor and exercise tracker are great for monitoring your progress wherever you are working out. The easy communication with your phone or computer allows easy access to your Fitbit data and allows you to trend every aspect of your fitness.

Bought this Fitbit because I wanted the watch times to be visible.I found it was just too large to wear all the time. Returned item for the smaller Fitbit HR.

Extremely reliable, several days use on one charge if not using it to receive texts, or have gps turned on. Only complaint would be, when I sweat a lot, I get heat rash under the band if I leave it on too long

Good for the purpose for which it was purchased. Provides silent alarm, sleep tracking, heart monitor, and everything else from the Fitbit family. Battery generally lasts for 3 to 4 days with constant use.

This watch did everything I wanted. The best part is when I run, the GPS tracks exactly where I went and all the information i needed. When I get next to my computer, it uploads all the information and, get this, it provides a map of where I went and check points along the way. Got to check it out. Only downfall is that it may be to think for some people.

I got this watch and didn't know if it would work for me. Let me tell you it got me motivated and I love it. The GPS is great and I go the the gym 3 days a week it gives me a complete run down of my progress. I have it paired with my smart phone and I can check all my workouts on that as well. Charging time is about 2 hrs. every 4 days. Great watch Great tracker.

I use mine primarily to track my daily steps to get me moving. Helps keep me motivated to meet my daily goals. I am SO disappointed in Fit Bit.. This is the fourth exchanged one I had to take in..I will probably end up taking this one back too. Have to recharge every other day..Not very promising..I am sure if this one ends up having to return I will NEVER get another FIT BIT..I purchased three of them. One just quit and my friend took it back and got a different brand. My sister has had to take hers back twice and get replaced. This is my fourth one(all replaced)As I mentioned if it quits I will NEVER EVER get fit bit again. Good thing I bought the extended warranties..Gee..

No issues. 5-6 days of battery life.. heart rate monitors 27/7 and I found to be quite accurate.. if you are exercising you must get it pretty tight and in the right place to be more accurate I found.

Very user friendly and works great! Great value and comparable to the apple watch. Very light, i wear it all day long and definitely recommend this for runners. Battery life really works for a solid week before needing a charge.
