A little steep on the price, but I got a great discount. Works great for the usual Fitbit stuff, works great with notifications as well. Only does texts and calls but that was expected. I wish that it would keep the text up on the main screen for a little while longer before reverting back to clock. Otherwise I have to press the button on the side and tap to read it. The GPS tracker is a great thing, however it doesn't sync the info (distance, calories burned, etc) to the Fitbit App. Maybe the App needs to be updated to capture that info. Overall, a great product, but get it on sale.

I loved this but returned it because it does not show seconds/secondhand for the time without going into the stop watch mode. I am an EMT and I do not have the time to change it to see seconds when treating a patient. If it would have had that option, I would have loved it!

Love the way the watch tracks my steps and let's me keep track of my heart beats. The silent alarm is a handy tool also. Like the way I get notified when I have an e-mail coming in and can view the e-mail on my wrist! Great watch!

This is great for simple tasks. However, it dosent pair up well with the iPhone 5s easily, especially relating to viewing text messages and call preview. The music interaction with the phone is also skeetchy. I love the idea but perhaps should have waited for the iWatch.

Right off the bat the watch is awesome. It fits well and looks good. The integrated HR monitor is accurate for resting and most work outs. The online interface is easy to use and fairly detailed. This watch was not for me. I chose it over the charge HR in order to get the better face (which is touch screen and works like a boss) and the GPS capabilities. I am a cycler...The HR sensor was not 100% accurate while I was cycling and "lost" sensing capabilities around my wrist when I shifted my grip. This wasn't a deal breaker though. Deal breaker was the GPS. It maps out route taken perfectly but does not track distance covered from GPS coordinates. I believe it only tracks distance from active steps taken. Sorry it didn't work like I wanted it to.

Pretty easy to get used to. Better than an Apple Watch in at least two ways (I have an iPhone). 1. If I ever want to switch from an iPhone, I can. If I bought an Apple Watch I'd have to stay with an iPhone forever. 2. The battery last way longer than an Apple Watch. I've had short recharges, for the most part, during morning get-ready time and no battery issues.

Great if you are interested in what is happening with your daily routine. The steps and heartrate are particularly helpful. Syncing with iPhone is great because your information is preserved and you can see lots of charts and challenges and collect information over a long period of time.

    Great Watch for tracking exercise

I have owned and used this watch for about 9 months now. It has some great features such as incoming phone notifications, the realtime heart rate monitor, step counter and all of the various activities that you can track. The sleep tracking has also come in very handy for me. I read lots of reviews before buying this and retiring my 7 year old Garmin GPS running watch. I found the Fitbit tracking app and website tracking very useful and the GPS is on par with the Garmin GPS that I also compared. I am able to track outside runs with GPS as well as inside treadmill runs. I play sand volleyball a couple times a week and record a "workout" which you can now categorize other workout activities that are not predefined for the watch. The heart rate tracking is awesome and I have compared the readings to blood pressure machines that read heart rates and found the Surge readings to be well in line. You are able to customize your workout routines up to 7 or 8 programmed on the watch. You can get some very detailed information from the charts and graphs in the Fitbit app/website. With GPS you can even view your runs in a map view both within the phone app and the website. It syncs very well with my iPhone 6 plus but sometimes a little slow; if you have multiple devices that can sync you have to turn off the bluetooth on one or the other. With the settings you can establish a daily calorie intake and record food, set and track weight goals, record water intake. You can also track multiple Fitbit devices. There are a lot of great things about this fitness watch. The cons for me are that it is not waterproof but somewhat water resistant. It takes perspiration and rain in a run but you can't submerge in water (like swimming) or take a shower with it.It is rather large and a bit bulky but it is a GPS watch. Not very attractive but it is a sports watch not meant to be worn for a night on the town. The battery life could be better with GPS. I get about 5 to 6 hours charge with the GPS running but who runs that long. GPS off about 5 days charge. I like that you can sync more than one Fitbit devices but the information from multiple devices is combined so you are not able view your stats by device. This Surge syncs with the Loseit! app but not all information is transferred between the apps. For example you record weight in Loseit but it does not transfer to Fitbit.com or vice versa. Food recorded in Loseit does transfer. You are not able to reset your stats for the Surge or on the website such as wanting to start a new weight goal. It keeps a lifetime total of all information. There are several apps that you can sync with Fitbit data. Overall I have enjoyed my Surge and I wear it some times on non-workout days for the step count and heart rate monitoring. This watch doesn't do everything but it does do quite a bit. There have been several updates to the software to track more exercises such as cycling. It does not work with Apple Watch as I have found out recently; no apply watch update as of yet. I think this is a good solid fitness tool. I went with the Surge because for my workouts (running, weight training, elliptical) can all be tracked. I found it useful to track hikes, bootcamp and circuit training as well but there are several other activities you can pick from. What I use it for it works very good.

This is a great fitness tracker and exceeded my needs and expectations. Furthermore, my wrist band started to separate and the folks determined it was covered by the manufacturer warranty. They then applied the Geek Squad Protection to the replacement for the original term of two years.

I love this FitBit Surge! Went to FitBit website and located sizing chart which worked perfectly. Bought the large size and I have smaller wrists so that I can wear it one finger width above wrist bone. Thought the face would be too big, but don't even notice it. Extremely comfortable to wear. Recommended cleaning is with cetaphil face cleanser and water. Love the text and call notifications, works great with my Iphone 6plus. Definitely recommend!!
