I got the watch to keep track of my heart rate due to heart issues. Works as advertised. I keep track of a few workouts a week so I have to charge it every 3 -4 days or so.

It does the job well - tracks distance, recent pace, average pace, heart rate. Vibrates at designated distances. Also allows you to control music from your phone (just play/pause). I find the night sleep tracker helpful as well. Easy to use.

Purchased this after the Best Buy rep stated that it was best seller, when asked which is better as I was concerned that the size was a little too big for my small wrist. The rep mislead me that the battery lasts 7 days which is why the larger price tag and that it would sink with my Samsung phone for emails, etc. This is not true as battery life for continued use is more like 2-3 days and it only sinks with my phone the basics such as calories, miles walked, steps etc. nothing to do with my emails like the apple one does. It does work well, but when I work out kick boxing with my hand wraps on and the gloves, it will shut off my watch so that it doesn't count my work out properly - this is due to the thick band size. I wish I would of gotten the regular fit bit and would of saved myself a lot of money.

I love the GPS tracking and the heart rate monitor. I also really enjoy the fact that it notifies you when the cell phone is ringing and you can read text messages on it. It is a little bulky and gets in the way at times. I have had other fitness monitors and this one wins as my favorite, hands down.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is tracking your activity level throughout the day. The watch is very easy to use, battery life with normal use lasts roughly 2 days (charging does not take more than 1 HR). GPS feature is what sets this apart from the Blaze. The Fitbit app is very user friendly and gives you a lot of information in an easy to understand format.

I have had all the Fit Bit and this is by far the best. GPS and Heart rate are great tools for advanced runners who want more than a step counter.

As a high-end fitness tracker, the Surge excels. Upgrading from the lower-end Fitbit Flex, I found the Surge’s heart rate monitoring especially useful. Seeing that my resting heart rate is a little higher than it should be motivated me to focus more on my cardio, for example, while checking that number during workouts lets me better tell how hard I was really pushing myself. The Surge’s text and call notifications were also particularly handy at the gym. No more interrupting my workout and fiddling around for my phone just to see that vibration was a text I could’ve answered later. These functions also use Bluetooth 4.0, which uses less energy than the Bluetooth standards of old.

so fitbit generally is good at everything it does, but not the best at any one. I would love to see this a little bit more customizable than it is. Another thing that would be great is an airplane mode turning off ALL Bluetooth which would help to save battery life as well.

I love all of the features of my Fitbit Surge, including those that I didn't think I needed like incoming calls and text messages. The only drawback is that the charge does not last 7 days like my old Fitbit and there isn't much warning between half battery life and low battery. Even so, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This unit does some really amazing things and the accuracy of the heart rate monitor is really nice. My wife was using a Polar FT4 before this and we had to fiddle with it and replace the batteries constantly. This, however, works great just the way it is and we get at least a few days of 24 hour use out of it before it needs charged. It also tracks multiple types of exercise and does periodic email updates about your activities and calories (if you track them). It even had a setting to mark if you are pregnant!

Great watch to be able to track your heart rate, steps, calories and more. It's nice that you can see everything on the watch without have to use your phone to go to the app. The only thing I don't like about it is there is not a light on the watch. So if your in a dark room you can't see the number on the watch.

I have had rapid heart rate issues and needed a dependable heart monitor. My husband bought this for me and it is a God send. Tracking my bpm is important as well as my distance and calories. I have used other monitors which have had batteries die in less than a year and end up being unreliable. Excellent fitbit. (FITBIT Surge)

I know others that have this, but for someone with small wrists... I just didn't like this. So I returned it. It felt way to big and bulky. I did like the features and all that... it was just the way it fit I didn't like.

For anyone looking to maintain their fitness program, this is an excellent tool to have handy. It tracks everything while acting as a watch, simultaneously, so you aren't wearing multiple straps on your hand. It all gets done with one item. Being able to sync it to the app on your phone makes it that much more effective because you can measure your progress over a period of time, in addition to being able to challenge your friends which works as a daily encouragement to continue on.

Love this Fitbit. I would have rated it excellent, because it was easy to set up initially, but I am having difficulty getting it to track sleep patterns so I leave it at good. Very easy to use. Great battery strength. Easy to charge.

Fitbit Surge does more and does it better than any other fitness watch on the market. Its smartphone app is complete but easy to use, provides smooth syncing, and is error free. This device easily captures all types of activities including stairs with minimal effort.
