I have been looking at different fitness watches. I like the fact that when I have it in hiking mode it tracks the GPS location for where I have been, then it shows it in maps with the route I took.

fitbit site claims the battery lasts 5 days with minimal usage. I get about a day and a half before it dies, and this is without using GPS! When I use the GPS feature (the only reason I bought this and not the Charge) I get less than a day. Now, my wife bought a Surge the same day as I did, and we have the same settings, and she gets about 4 days before she needs to charge so I think I just have a bad unit. But, we will see! Recommend you keep the receipt!

I love my Surge. I got it primarily for the heart rate monitor and initially was suspicious of it. After two weeks I took a stress test at cardiologist and amazingly it was quite accurate. Above 150 bpm though, it did not seem to be as accurate as the test monitor. Mine got into the 170's according to the Surge, but test equipment still recorded 150's. I don't spend a lot of time up there, so ok with me.

I have a average females wrist, the band was so small I could barely get to the first notch on the band to latch it. To register your heart rate it is to be worn higher than at the wrist. I exchanged it for the Large. The large band fits perfectly and starts where the small ends.

Closest thing to a worth-while smart watch that I've tried. However, a combo of questionable battery life, bulk, and awkward controls keeps if from being a worthwhile purchase for now.

I love the watch I have lost 2lbs in a month using it. Tracks steps and stairs accurately. It syncs very well with my fitness pal and the walgreens app. I do recommend going on the website and paying the $50 premium package it will tell you if you are not walking enough or burning enough calories. The only flaw is the food diary through fitbit. That is why I use my fitness pal.

My wife and I enjoy this product very much. The only reason I will not give 5 stars is for any product that has to be charged on a regular basis. I prefer to charge mine at night, but then I lose sleep tracking. But I still love it.

I bought a fitbit because I got tired of wearing the chest straps and having to bluetooth connect them to my phone when I work out... The Fitbit setup seemed a lot easier... and it was! The online dashboard was easy to set up and very informative... Unfortunately, the watch is not so good. 1. the band gets itchy and collects sweat, sometimes stopping the heart-rate monitor function 2. the heart-rate monitor is HIGHLY inaccurate. It told me on more than one occasion that my heart-rate was in the 190s when I was barely walking and felt none of the effects of it. 3. battery life isn't very good if you have the heart-rate monitor on (I had it to monitor my resting heart rate during the day and while sleeping). Battery lasts at most a day and a half... I went back to my chest-strap and the Polar app on my iPhone...

The Surge Fitbit is absolutely perfect for me. I just retired from teaching and want to become more fit. I like that it monitors my heart rate, and I know that it is very accurate because I compared it to what the nurse read at my doctors office.

My Fitbit has been an awesome addition to my everyday wear! It's fun to see how many steps are taken throughout the day and gives me a tool to track my water consumption.

The display is always on. I can easily tell the battery charge level. It shows every step I take and calories burned. It monitors my heart rate. The GPS tracks a variety of activities. The band is very soft and comfortable.

Bought this tracker for myself and my wife. She was hesitant at first but once she started wearing it and seeing the possibilities you can't get it off her wrist. It is a little large for a smaller person but still well worth the purchase.

I am just getting back in the swing of things as far was working out. The Fitbit SUrge encourages me up to the last step. It is also very comfortable to wear during the day, and sleep in at night to chart my sleep patterns.

Works great and does everything as advertised. It is a little big and my work shirt sleeves will not fit over it like they do a watch. Other than that it is great.

This was bulkier than I expected it to be. I only wore it once. The one thing I didn't like about it was that when I swung my arm it counted it as a step. I think it would work for some people. it just wasn't for me

I have really enjoyed my new FitBit Charge. I have used almost all of the features. The only thing that I wish it had (on the app) was the nutrition information of the items I logged that day. I don't always have access to the fitbit website (where you can view this information). As for the tracking and GPS, I have found it very useful and pretty accurate.

I had a Fitbit Flex that no longer would accept a charge so was in the market for another fitness tracker. I was looking at other brands then the Best Buy clerk suggested the Fitbit Surge because it had all the features I wanted. So far, it's been accurate and the features are many.
