Customers highly value the sleep tracking, battery life, and step tracking features, with many praising the accuracy and ease of use. The small and discreet size is also frequently mentioned as a positive attribute, along with the device's ability to sync data seamlessly. I have been amazed at the vast amount of things that this little beauty can do...it monitors the number of steps you take, flights of stairs you climb, calories you burn and gives you places to log your food, mood and more! It also monitors your sleep! It's like a few of the products I have used so far, all wrapped up into one!
Set up was a little tricky...it didn't seem to have a good flow to it, BUT I managed to get it all set up in about 15 minutes or so. Once you charge it up all you have to do is clip it on and you literally forget all about it. I wore it on one of the suggested places and didn't think about it for the rest of the day. It's very small and lightweight. Part of the set up process is setting up an online account that you sync up to occasionally, I did it daily. Above is a screen shot of my first partial day, I didn't get it put on until late in the day but it is still very interesting to see. I love seeing the number of steps taken and the number of miles traveled.
I have a feeling that the pie chart will be my favorite and most disliked feature! The pie chart shows your level of various levels of activity throughout the day and the bar graph shows the times of day that you were most active. You can tell that I put the Fitbit on and did my morning workout, you can tell when I sat down to work, when I was cleaning and even when my boys were napping! At least, I can tell! It's nice to get a visual aid like this to encourage me to get off my bum, at least when I'm not sewing! Not only is this a GREAT product but I also love the format and set-up of the online account. There is room to journal a lot of what you deal with in a day, food, activity, etc. There are several goals for you to set, meet and earn online badges for. The online account is very easy to navigate and the overall feel of it is happy and calm. Another feature that I have really enjoyed is being able to take it off mid-day and click through some of the items it keeps track of, like a mid-day check in. See the little button on the top of the Fitbit? You just click on that and you can see how many calories you've burned, steps you've taken, etc. A GREAT way to help you stay on track, ramp it up, skip desert or take a break! Amazingly, I have nothing bad to share about the product. Other than my tiny snags with set up, that could very well be my fault, I am absolutely in love with this and look forward to using it to meet my health and fitness goals!

I am very happy I bought this! I love all the functions and that it records everything! I also like that it can track your sleep and let you know what time you fell asleep, how long it took you to fall asleep, how long you slept, and how many times you woke up. I use it a lot to challenge myself...it records how many steps you take everyday and I will try to beat what I got the day before.
The only thing that I did not like, I am an athlete and I want to know where I am at when I'm training, but it took me a long time to figure out where I could wear the tracker because if it got too much sweat on it it won't work. Thankfully I realized what I did and fixed the problem, but it got to the point that it was telling me there was an error and it would not record or charge. If you are going to wear this during sports put it in the least likely place to get wet, if not it won't last very long!
And some places to attach it it does not record very well...you will be doing so much activity and it will say that you didn't do that much at all. But when it does it's amazing how much you do without even realizing! :)

After comparing every calorie/activity tracker on the market, or at least nearly every tracker, I decided to get the Fitbit. The reasons why are:
1. Low cost for unit
2. No monthly subscription fees
3. Small & discreet. Cannot be hidden easily.
The fit bit tracks steps, miles, calories & sleep efficiency. I was skeptical about the sleep aspect, but it does seem to be fairly accurate. The tracker's estimation of calories burned does seem to be accurate when comparing my deficit with my actual weight loss.
High recommended!

Buying another

I had mine for about a week when my labradoodle puppy got hold of it. I'm buying another one, so that tells you I liked it enough to spend twice the money to have one. Right? The only thing I have by way of complaint is that the stair tracker is off. It's triggered by an altimeter so if you go up 10 ft it counts as a flight of stairs. I had some elevator rides add a few flights. So that part isn't very reliable, but I found the step count and the sleep tracker to be very accurate. I did lose it out of the clip once and kept it in my pocket after that.

My summary is that this product is very useful to teach a person about their habits and how exercise and nutrition affects them. Logging the food eaten from the database, really shows how some foods have significantly more calories than expected, and using the FitBit while exercising gives an idea of how slowly calories are used up.
Overall the product is pretty accurate in gauging weight gain or loss providing you are honest with your intake. In my case approx 3500 calories really does indicate a weight gain or loss of one pound. The sleep and mood indicator also helps to understand when a person may feel more sluggish during the day based on sleep and sometimes what the eating habits of the day.
Highly recommended for those who like to have accurate information on factors affecting their weight based on their lifestyles.

I bought my Fitbit Sleep Tracker as a way to keep track of the number of steps I was taking in a day. My wife had one from Weight Watchers and I was always a little jealous.
I knew I would have a hard time getting motivated to use the stairs at work or park a little further out in the mall parking lot, however this Fitbit makes trying to get your step count up fun!
I love challenging myself to try to get a few more steps in or beat my previous day's count. Since the Fitbit keeps track of the number of flights you go up and down I have started taking the stairs (plus it's more steps for you too!).
Now it was my wife who was jealous so we went out and purchased a second one of these for her so we can compete against each other (She usually blows me away).

Love that it shows floors climbed and calories burned. It's a fancy, accurate pedometer! It tracks your sleep and steps and gives you motivation to be more active. I'm always trying to beat my highest active score.
Small and easy to place on your person (a variety of options). I do a variety of exercises so this litlle device is fun to use.. Just beware... It breaks easily... I am about to replace my second one in a a seven month period... so buy the warranty! I am thinking I will hold out for the other fitbit that appears to be more sturdy! :-)
I also synched my fitbit to my fitbit aria scale. All of them have graphs so you can see your progress. Love this technology.. Just wish it was built better.

Best of FitBit Lot - But That's not Exactly Good

I liked that you you could see all of your stats and you could wear it in a number of different locations. Also, between the FitBit Ultra and the FitBit Flex, the Ultra was the far more accurate of the two. However, I definitely recommend getting the protection plan. The Ultra started to crack within four months of purchase and had to be replaced.
It also has less smaller parts than the newer models. You used the same item to charger and sync the tracker. With the newer models, there is a tiny usb port used to sync the trackers and a separate cord to charge the trackers. All of the separate parts are easy to lose.
Both the FitBit Ultra and FitBit One trackers show you your data for the day (unlike the Flex, on which the "indicator lights only illuminate as you hit 20% increments towards your goal." (If you don't have an iPhone 4s or later, you can forget about syncing your data with your iPhone during the day to get the actual numerical data that lets you know how you are doing. I had to replace the FitBit One within ten months. It is completely worthless to me without the data throughout the day. That cheap hunk of plastic will be returned to Best Buy.)
For a list of devices with which the FitBit will sync, please see FitBit's website.
It would have been nice if this model had been water-resistant and had not cracked. Honestly, it was my favorite and the best of the three FitBit models (Ultra, One, and Flex) I have tried. However, that is not a ringing endorsement, but rather like being valedictorian in summer school: The best of three bad products.
Avoid FitBit like the plague to consumers they are and check out other, less expensive and better pedometer brands.

I've used a number of pedometers in the past. None of them worked very well and I quickly lost interest. Not so with Fitbit. It has now been my trusted companion for over a month. Its ability to automatically upload my stats is truly amazing. I was also impressed with the fact that it can go for several days without resyncing. It automatically keeps track of separate 24 hour periods without intervention on my part. It's also amazing to me that it accurately tracks the number of flights of stairs climbed in a day. This device is small and can even be worn under clothing. I would definitely recommend this product and will soon be purchasing another for my wife.

I have owned my Fitbit for a little over a month now and have been using their website as my food journal for the past few months. All I can say is I love it! It's definitely worth the $99. Compared to other devices at the same price point, it is the best I have found.
It really lets you know whether or not you have been active. I wear it to Zumba, cardio classes, running, at work, and even skiing/snowboarding. Once you put in your walking and running stride length accurately, it really seems to be on. I get off the treadmill or home from a run, and the distance traveled is correct because it differentiates walking from running!! Even if you aren't walking, it does recognize you are moving; a lot better than your standard pedometer since I am active in a variety of ways.
After reading a lot of reviews about it getting lost, I do believe females have an advantage. When I have put it on my pants instead of my bra, it does tend to slide up. It stays nice and snug on the bra however, plus no one knows you are wearing it.
My advice: check out their website, www.fitbit.com, to try the food journal and the other tools. It is absolutely FREE. If you love the site, purchasing the Fitbit will be great for you!

I really like it. Helped me think about being more active. I have the incentive to walk more. I hate exercising but just being able to check through the day to see how I am doing just really helps me to think. "Maybe I should go for a walk". Then I could meet my goal for today. I really like the sleep tracker. I always thought it was taking me hours to fall asleep. It tells me I am falling asleep in about 5 to 10 minutes. Now that I know that I don't worry about it and I fall asleep without worrying about falling asleep. I have showed several people what this thing does and they are considering getting one themselves. They can't believe all the things it tells me.

I researched the Fitbit quite a bit before I purchased it. So far I love it! The online tracking of your daily activities is awesome and really helps you maintain your intake and gives you guidance on how to improve.
I think the most impressive is the sleep tracking function. I have found the Fitbit to be spot on every night I have used it so far.
I have also used this while running and it tracks my level of activity being higher.
For those looking for a tool to help you get a better idea of your diet, sleep, caloric intake, and where you can improve...this device is for you!

This is a great accessory for anyone looking to be healthier. Whether it's tracking steps, stairs, sleep, or calories, the FitBit tracker can do it all. I wear mine 24/7/365 and I always have track of the latest stats on my activity and sleep. The tracker keeps you motivated to get up and get your steps in for the day. It also reminds you to take the stairs. Fitbit has also helped me get my sleep patterns on track with its spot-on sleep tracking. This is the perfect accessory to help you on your fitness journey. It pairs great with the Fitbit Aria scale, and if you want a tracker to sync directly to your iPhone, grab the FitBit One.

Listen. I feel like over the last six weeks or so that I have never paid so much attention to all these aspects of my fitness. I'm watching what I eat, exercising more, taking care of my skin and popping vitamins and fish oil like they're candy. I am a stranger in my own body.
The good news is it's all starting to feel a little more natural and becoming part of my daily routine. I wake up in the morning and know that I need to eat breakfast even though I really don't enjoy breakfast. I carry around almonds and little bags of granola so I can have a healthy snack and eat every three hours because it's supposed to help my metabolism. I put on my running shoes so I don't have time to talk myself out of working out. I weigh myself once a week. I think about portion size. I have a watch that tells me how hard I'm working out. I've become a laboratory rat.
The point is I'm doing a lot of new stuff. All at one time. And sometimes I wonder if any of it's working and if there are ways I can work harder or do more. The most recent product I received from Best Buy is the FitBit. This Fitbit Ultra FB102P wireless activity and sleep tracker measures steps taken, distance traveled, stairs climbed and calories burned for efficient monitoring of your workout progress.
It also tells you when you've sat on the couch all day watching all the shows you've recorded on you DVR. And I don't like it much on those days. But it makes me aware of how much I'm moving, how well I'm sleeping, and if I need a little more physical activity. In other words, it's like a conscience you can clip onto your bra or your belt or the waistband of your shorts. And you can create a personal account at Fitbit.com to keep track of all your information and track your progress.

I gave to Fitbit to my husband as a gift and he absolutely loved it. He likes to work out and he walks a lot. It is accurate,he is having fun checking how many calories he has burned and how many miles he's walked. This is ideal even if you do not workout. Just snap it on a piece your clothing and go about your daily activities. It syncs up easily and you'll be amazed to actually see how much you move and what you've accomplished throughout the day.

A friend told me about the FitBit and I decided to research it. I have had many activity trackers but the FitBit is one of the best. It is a "smart" unit that has great messages of encouragement that it sends throughout the day and the fact that it tracks sleep patterns too is something I have never had. I have only had one day of inaccuracy when on an extremely bumpy school bus tour and it picked up the movements of the bus. Other than that just wearing it each day has increased my activity.

First of all check out their awesome free website. You can open an account and check out some of the features of the site which include goals and food calorie tracking. The fitbit is extremely accurate when compared to treadmill distance and when counting steps manually I was also able to determine its accuracy...counted manual steps to 1000 and fitbit was only off by 2 steps. This is a really motivational piece of fitness equipment that at a one time cost of $99 is the deal of a lifetime! Also purchase from Best Buy because you will get it sooner as I have heard horror stories of waiting weeks when purchasing from the fitbit website as they often are back ordered there.

When you get past the lack of any documentation and get to the website to understand how it works, it’s flawless! Easy to carry around; absolutely unforgiving and ties in to many different apps (that are free on most platforms). It’s everything I was hoping for and more. The price is a bit steep, but in my mind it’s worth every penny!
