    Fantastic fitness aid

This product has been a great aid in upping my fitness activities. Plus giving me the information I needed to analyze what I was doing and why. The only problem I have is with the software on the MAC. I am hoping to get these resolved by the fitbit staff so that I won't have to resort to the geek squad.

    Love my Fitbit

This is a great way to measure how much activity you pack in a day. I think it is fairly accurate in measuring when I'm expending much vs. a minimal amount of effort. Is a great motivator to get those 10,000 steps in.

Excellent fitness product. I love how it can tell me how many flights of stairs I can climb and how I'm sleeping. I've learned with my Fitbit that I am not sleeping like I should and I am also more conscious about getting in 10,000 steps a day. Very easy to use too. Excellent product for the price. I highly recommend.

    Nice Concept, Poor Execution

Product comes in various colors (silver and teal). Although Best Buy ads and website show it in the silver model, you will most likely receive the Teal version which is what the stores carry. The product engineering is great since it uses gyroscopes to detect your walking and/or movement (while sleeping). Clarification on Sleep Mode: The device will not automatically know when you are alseep nor can you click a button on the unit to tell it you are going to bed. You must go to the website and log in with your account indicating what the sleeping window is for any particular day. Quite frankly, if you are looking for a good sleep tracker and have an iPhone use the app called "Sleep Cycle" as it does the same thing and you do not have to program your sleep times into it... The battery life is estimated to be 10 days which is good but you still need to connect it to the cradle it comes with to charge. They could have installed a micro USB port like those of most phones out today which would allow you to charge it from the office or car with your cell phone chargers... (otherwise you have to purchase additional cradles from the manufacturer). Like others have said, the wireless synchronization feature requires your computer to be turned on, connected to a network, and logged into the Fitbit website through the application in your system tray. The unit does not work like the EyeFi cards and does not connect to Wifi networks to upload the data wirelessly - it still uses some kind of near field communication to the base station that is included. Another thing to consider is the fact that the battery is not removable or exchangeable. Therefore when the battery life does expire and no longer holds a charge, you will be holding an overpriced plastic paperclip. If you want a more feature-packed pedometer at a comparable price, go buy an iPod nano (4th gen). At least it will play music, record distance, foot steps, play videos, record videos, and charge with your traditional iPod cables, etc. Sure the iPod nano will not track your progress online, but get an old fashion notebook and write down the values yourself. This product falls short of its promises both in design and durability.

    GREAT TRINER

The Fit Bit does all I wanted it to and more. Worked well right out of the box with no difficulties. The one thing I would improve is I wish it were water proof so you could wear it while doing water arobics. One thing not explained well in the instructions is if you turn off your computer at night, for the automatic link to occure you need to go to the fit bit web sight each day and sing back in.

    We Love the Fitbit Ultra

I bought one for myself and I absolutely loved it. I am training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer that is 39.3 miles and wanted to track my steps and mileage during training so that's why I got it. My mother and I will be doing the walk together, so I was telling her about it and she thought it sounded great. So I got her one. She loves it. I have the Plum one and she has the Blue one, that way we can't get them mixed up if we take them off.

I am really having fun with my FitBit. I'm really enjoying the sleep tracker as I know that I don't sleep much. Having this tool is a reminder that I need more sleep. I also admit that a couple of times now, as I was heading up the stairs to bed, I realized that I didn't have my staircases is, so I went up and down the stairs a couple of times. Lol, how funny!

Am pretty health conscious, go to the gym, run a little. I bought this and let me tell you, it has really made me step up my fitness game. The absolute best thing about this? It changes your sedentary, set-in-stone habits. I now park as far away from the entrance to a store as I can. I take the steps everywhere instead of an elevator. I walk to work instead of drive 1.5 miles. I didn’t think I would be so eager to see if I could break the day before’s record for steps taken. But I am and I do. Decent job of monitoring sleep too, and the wristband it goes in is hardly noticeable. I actually tossed this in the wash (be careful!) and IMMEDIATELY ran out and got another one, wishing someone could have carried me to Best Buy so I wouldn’t feel cheated on losing steps. $99 is nothing for a complete raising of your health-consciousness because the motivation the device and the lifetime web account it gives you are priceless.

Great addition to your Fitness Gadgets

This is a GREAT addition to a HRM -- it'll give you additional motiviation especially if your friends use it. Its a fun and easy gadget to use and will help you track your excercise even if you don't have a HRM all the time, at least you'll get credit for the steps you'll take. Whats also great is that this product has its own website along with integration into MFP (my fitness pal . com) myfitnesspal.com -- so it'll sync directly to your account to assist you in your calorie tracking or the fitbit.com site has a rather full fledged system as well for a small fee.. either way whatever you have that keeps you motivated is a GREAT thing!! -- The only thing I wish it had was some sort of app that if I drop it in the house I could find it.. since it does use s frequency it would be nice to have a finder app.. but other than that.. if you're thinking about buying a pedometer.. don't get this instead.. you'll thank me!!

I got this with a package deal and was pleasantly surprised with its accuracy for sleep analysis. The website is easy to use for tracking different activities and you get weekly dashboard reports for review. I have yet to get the mobile app to work (since it never seems to accept login credentials), but I have not really pursued it as it was more of a curiosity than something I was actually going to use.

    not that great

Bought one a month ago. I've been using it regularly. However the step count is always way off. I've done the stride measurement and adjustment but it never gets it right. a 50 step walk to the other side of the room comes out as 80-85? I've tried modifying the stride entry to get something close but its never consistent. And the worst part...I lost the stupid thing because the belt clip does not do a great job of staying on your belt. It will work itself loose and fall off. Hundred bucks down the drain. And, the device is not waterproof or resistant. So if you're outside and have this on your belt, you could damage it in the rain if you forget its down there. I wouldn't recommend the device to anyone.

My wife is on her third FitBit. The first got wet and stopped working. The second cracked. Sturdiness is not their strong trait for sure. However the ease of use and online performance tracking is super-easy.

Overall I think fitbit is a really neat product. I really liked that it could tell me how many calories I burned, how many hours of sleep I actually got and when you put in your caloric intake, it actually had many foods in the system. What I did not like about it though was that after 2 weeks it stopped syncing with my computer. I then replaced it but again 2 weeks later it stopped. I finally gave up and just returned it. I never did anything crazy to it that might cause it to stop working. So if you can actually keep yours working, i would say it's a great product.

I love, love, love the fitbit. It is motivating to see how active you are being throughout the day. The website's graphics are easy to understand and I enjoyed checking it out a couple of times a day. However, my fitbit died last night, there's no display, it's not counting my steps. I'm so sad. I will miss it, but am going to ask for a refund to get an actual heart rate monitor and hope it lasts more than the 2 weeks my fitbit lasted.

I like the smallness and online features of fitbit. Only minor complaints are that the belt clip is somewhat fragile....it broke within a week and had difficulty finding an inexpensive replacement. Also wish that the calorie tracking system was somewhat easier to use.

I was hesitant to purchase the Fitbit because of the cost but I found it to be very useful in managing weight loss. I can log everything from what I eat to how I sleep!!! This little thing encourages me to take the stairs just so I can reach my daily goal. Many of my coworkers have one and we encourage each other. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this to work in conjunction with a change in my eating habbits and exercise routine. I like this because it allows me to gauge how active I am on a given day and it works in conjuction with MyFitnessPal.com. My battery routinely goes for in excess of a week often times two weeks with out issue

I absolutely love my FitBit!!! I have worn it every day since I bought it. I love how easy it was to set up. I love its syncing capabilities, (especially to MyFitnessPal and Earndit.com.) I have used pedometers before, but this product is far more than your standard pedometer. It is a life changer!!

A few co-workers began to use a FitBit last year and I'd always been intrigued. Finally got one for myself two months ago, and am hooked! It keeps you interested, motivated and the online resources are great! Highly recommend to anyone who, like me, needs a visual motivation of progress made.
