I recently purchased the Fitbit Versa when considering all the options compared to the FB Charge. I am extremely pleased with the performance and features the Versa has. I personalized my workouts adding Spin, hiking & HIIT. I wear it every day to monitor both workouts and steps. I use the sleep, music feature with bluetooth headphones and even uploaded a starbucks card. The battery lasts and I have found that I only need to charge my Versa for a few minutes every other day . I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love the Versa. I recommend the Versa to anyone who is considering a tracker.

I am not a huge work out heavy person. I want to track my steps, my sleep, my power walks, and other general "work outs" (e.g. mowing, hard labor that is not really a "work out" per see, but none the less I would like to track it. This watch feels excellent to wear and I barely know it's there. I wear it on my non-dominant arm, but either works. The sleep tracking is pretty good, I have hiccups with the device some days, but my sleep as of late has been quite restless (life changes) and others do not report the same sleep tracking issues, so your mileage may vary. The sleep breakdown is very good in my opinion and informative. I do like the ability to link my Pandora account to the device, but if I start a workout or run then I loose control of that, which is too bad, but I carry my phone anyway cause I want it for the linked GPS. You don't have to start the workout, you could let the device track it by heart rate and movement. It does a very good job at that. I just like the stats I get when I do force a workout to be tracked. I do run and it does fine with that as well. I do use some of the app available for the device and love the notification link between my phone and device. Especially when I might not feel the phone vibrate in my pocket, but I do on my wrist. It is useful for me, again your mileage may vary. The battery life is ok, I mean it lasts about 4 days (ish) with a good deal of alarms, texts and calls vibrating the device on my wrist, so I guess it's not really a big deal... increase battery life by not using those features. All black is not super great, but honestly not a deal breaker. I enjoyed looking through the trillion face applets you can customize the device display using, there are honestly soooo many it takes forever, but I found plenty I liked. The information provided on the device is very good in my opinion and I get what I am looking for from it. I do like the keep up off your butt and walk alerts, not everyone will, but you can turn them off. The device is quite customizable with alarms and other features you can use or decide not to. The charger I think needs work FitBit. It works, but really a micro usb would have been WAY more convenient. Again not huge, but I think for $200 it should have been considered by them. I am sure I left out something someone will want to know, but I hope this all helps you decide. I really do like the device and for me it was a good investment.

    Best activity tracker

I think that this is one of the best activity trackers. It tracks your calories burned, sleep, steps, and workouts. The app you use with it is super user friendly. In that app you can track you food intake, water, and weight. It's like and sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. I think it is perfect for anybody that is really into fitness because of how simple and easy the app and watch interface are. You can view notifications and you can eve reply to messages, but only with quick replys. My only concern is that it is made out of plastic and so I question the durability.

Fitbit is well known for fitness tracking. I have used fitbit alta hr and versa. Versa has more advanced features and watch faces. I liked the design. But I found red rashes on my wrist after a week of use. Looks like the material used on the backside of the tracker isn’t comfortable for us. We tried samsung galaxy s3 and apple watch 3. We found apple watch is more comfortable when you wear day and night. I would still recommend this product to my friends as the issue that I faced might not be an issue for others.

I like how the versa looks, its bigger screen is easy to read and swipe. It is sleek and just so pretty. However, I gave it a four star because it took forever to sync with my phone, my charge 2 did not take this long--this might just be a personal issue with my phone. Also, the screen scratches very easily. I have not had mine for even a whole week yet and the surface is already scratched so I recommend buying a screen protector. Otherwise, it's a great gadget and it records my activities fairly right on.

    Fitbit > Samsung Gear Sport

I love my samsung products (phone, tablet, TV) but after using the Samsung gear sport for about a year, I HAD to go back to Fitbit. The workout detection, HR monitoring, sleep monitoring, floor tracking, and all around fitness tracking aspects are all much better with Fitbit! The HR monitoring is far more accurate and also measures continuously, Samsung gear sport does not monitor continuously and more often than not is unable to measure HR at all, if you move your wrist even a little, or your wrist is sweaty/ dirty. The Samsung gear sport was a better smart watch (as advertised) with the ability to text back to any message using T9 function on the tiny screen. It operates as a tiny version of your phone, minus some things like browsing the web and searching call logs, etc. But you can open and read messages and whole conversations which was convenient some times. Whereas the Fitbit Versa can only respond to messages as they come in with preselected quick messages. I didn't use those smart watch functions as much as I anticipated, and was much more interested in the fitness tracking aspect of a watch, that is why I prefer my Fitbit. Also, the food logging is far superior to the Samsung health food logging because you can scan barcodes instead of searching manually! I haven't found a barcode that the app doesn't know yet, and I use some pretty off the wall protein powders and supps. The ability to have so many different types of challenges and converse inside the Fitbit app is phenomenal! Very motivational, it's a community of Fitbit users. In general, for my fitness needs this watch works better than others I've tried. It still functions as a smart watch with basic functions which is all I need.

    Great New Tracker from Fitbit

I've been waiting to replace my Pebble and nothing really seemed like a good fit. The Versa has filled that gap. It's light and the battery lasts three or four days easily. It kind of gets out of the way and tracks me fitness, which is mainly what I wanted it for. There are some hiccups with the notifications at times but Fitbit is working them out and these kinds of things are easily fixed in software. The hardware is great and I've been quite pleased with it. My steps are up and my resting heart rate is down!

I LOVE this watch. The battery life is amazing, and it doesn't distract with too many notifications. I was looking for a better fitbit, not a phone on my wrist. I like how I can tailor the alerts to my needs, and the watch faces are a nice add on. (The default one is so boring.) I am glad I bought this, and recommend it to all those looking for an unassuming, simple smartwatch with excellent tracking capabilities.

Attractive watch. The step tracker and the reminder to get those active steps in are a great way to get closer to those goals. The text and phone notification works great for those times when you want to answer a call or not or even respond to a text now or later. Since my eye site doesn't allow for lengthy reading of email or texting on a watch-sized screen the apple watch would be a waste of technology for my use. The Versa works great and the battery life is more than adequate. Plus the price is right.

Good upgrade from Fitbit Charge HR

Lightweight, easier to read than smaller Fitbit models. A collection of apps is available from the Fitbit app store and some are useful. There are also many faces available for the clock from Fitbit and individual contributors. The back of the Versa is smooth and fits more comfortably on my wrist, whereas the Charge 2 had a bump in the back for the sensors. The sensors are flush on the Versa. Battery life is as good on the Versa as the Charge HR, usually 4-5 days.

This watch does everything it needs to for fitness. Bought one for myself (Android) and can use all functions. Bought one for my mom (iPhone) and she has some texting limits that Fitbit may correct in the future. She still loves her watch as well. Have gone swimming with it several times with no issues. Definitely recommend getting a screen protector! Fun fact... Steps and sleep don't work in Hawaii due to the magnetic fields of the volcanoes.

For the price and features this was a great upgrade from my Blaze. I needed the upgrade for waterproof so I could wear it while swimming. Battery life is very good. Personally I didn’t want that pay thing I still don’t trust them yet. It’s not massively accurate but close enough to motivate and keep track. It’s got many more features I haven’t had a chance to use yet. I’ve already changed the band twice. My wife is upset because my good watch sits in the drawer. I’m addicted to step counting.

This watch it hard to beat for the money. It does everything the expensive watches do. The touchscreen is very smooth, easy to use and has great clarity. It’s great for kids and adults. My GF and daughter Wear it all the time to get an accurate calorie count so you know how many calories to eat daily. So far we used it for rock climbing, bike riding, and swimming. Yes it is water proof to 66 ft. So unless your going scuba diving it will work fine for you. Highly recommend it for adults and children.

It tracks the sleep perfectly and battery life is excellent. The only complaint i have so far is related to the band, the user should be able to change the band easily which is not the case right now, it’s really confusing and frustrating. Fitbit has three button controls in the watch, i really don’t understand the use of the two buttons on the right side as almost everything is controlled through the single button on the left.

I got this watch because it has many more features than a regular fitbit watch. You can track sleep patterns, lets you get notifications from your smartphone, and store and play 300 songs. Plus the main reason people usually buy a fitbit of counting steps, calories and activity. If you use all of its features, it is worth it to buy this watch. If you are are just wanting to track your steps, then a regular fitbit watch would do the trick.

Great watch for just fitness & alerts. I don’t need all the bells and whistles of an Apple Watch I had one and did not like it. I love the fact that it’s waterproof, easy to use, the sports band, screen is just right size for my wrist & display is bright. I love that I can put a personal picture as a clock face display. Phone/text alerts are nice (just like Apple) but you cannot respond or answer, which I’m ok with. I just wanted easy & simple and Fitbit got it right for me. I love it!!

Pros: * Bright OLED screen * Very light weight * Reliable battery life or 3-5 days depending on power settings Cons: * Watch band slightly stiffer and thicker and Fitbit Surge, making it marginally less comfortable, but not offensively so. * Like other Fitbit units, slightly fidgety bluetooth connectivity, requiring reboot of Fitbit or connected phone. Notes: * No GPS, but Ionic is available if important * No cellular data models available Screen is beautiful being colorful and bright. Tilt to wake screen is sometimes too sensitive and somtimes requires 2 or 3 tries. Also, there's a slight delay to the screen waking it making the whole motion a bit less fluid than the Apple Watch S4 which still has a slight delay as well. Power usage is about 15-20% per day, so in all honesty, 3-4 days of battery life is definitely fine. 4-5 if you turn off auto-screen wake. One annoying thing is no way to put the device into water mode, so when the device gets wet, screen often turns on and random button taps happen as the water or water droplets make the device think the screen is being tapped. Another nice thing would be a transreflective LCD screen similar to the Fitbit Surge, color or monochrome would be fine. Transreflective screens (Garmin devices) can be visible without backlight or any additional power... they's a layer in the screen that gathers existing room or outdoor light and makes the screen viewable. Backlighting only turns on when needed at night and low light situations. Why is this good? Saves power and also allows you to see the screen without tapping or or making a motion to turn it on.

The Fitbit Versa is very comfortable. It gives lots of information regarding the current time, heart rate, and steps for the day. I like that I get reminders to move. I really like that I get notifications of phone calls and texts. The Fitbit app also gives me valuable information about my sleep patterns. I bought the Fitbit Versa because of the display information and the fact that it is water resistant. I will be able to use it when swimming and it will count my laps.

The Fitbit Versa is the perfect cross between an activity tracker and a smart watch. The watch has phenomenal battery life, it is lightweight and easy to wear, and does everything I need it to do. It shows me when I get a message or a call, keeps track of my steps and heart rate, and even tells the time. As a bonus, it looks great doing it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a device like this. I am VERY satisfied.

So fair this has been of of the best fitbit's. I like i do not have to take it of to get in water. I like that it is more like a regular watch, you do not have to separate the device from the band to charge. The battery life is great for about 4 days before i have to recharge. Now this can be affected if you are trying to use all the notifications features. I am not, i only use a few of the basic notifications features, because i know this can affect the battery life.
