Fitness Boxing 2, good to keep moving

First of all, I am 67 years old. The reason we bought a Switch was to be able to do some exercise during the shorter days of fall/winter. This is important since we ski about 30 days per season. We normally hike, but this gets more difficult in the dark. Fitness Boxing 2 was surprisingly good. It promotes good use of the motion controllers and is good aerobically. We just started, but it looks like there are increasingly difficult routines to follow. Should be fun!

I tried out the free demo on the Nintendo eShop and found that this boxing exercise game actually made one do a lot of exercise and did that in a fun way. I also have the RingFit and both Boxing and RingFit are great games to make you move a lot and exercise. I would say Boxing is more intense compared to RingFit but RingFit has a more Zelda like game feel to it. So they each have their pros and cons, but they both make you exercise so I'm happy.

Pop music kinda sucks imo, but decent workout

Seems decent enough. Haven’t really gotten into the game much, but I’m just posting a review because Best Buy spams me constantly for a review. Going with 4/5 cause I don’t like the pop music really at all - it doesn’t really motivate me to workout. I wish it has 1-3 different music genres to pick from so I wasn’t forced to listen to teen pop which is demotivating for a workout - like if you went to a gym and it was only playing pop-country music - not really for working out imo. Otherwise decent work-out so far though; it’s no cross fit, but it builds a sweat and gets the heart pumping.

Definitely a fitness game. Easy to understand. You need to use this game regularly to get the needed results. After the first couple of attempts, the game begins to get fun. If you like to box, a great game.

Heck of a workout. Between this and ring fit, I’m sore all of the time. It ramps up in difficulty the more you keep at it. Tons of adjustable settings. Downsides are repetitive opening of workouts that you can’t skip and 2 player suffers from slowdown.

This is a good way to get you moving if you've been slacking, or just something fun to change things up. You can adjust your workout time (10, 20, 30 minutes) and intensity. They have a laundry list of achievements you can chase down and some nice metrics. You can change your instructor appearance and language - I have a nice black woman speaking to me in Japanese. The coaching is actually pretty nice, but not overwhelming.
My only note that is that you should take care to make sure you swing nicely for the sensor or the game will register that as a 'miss' or that you went off tempo (gives you an 'okay' instead of 'perfect').
This game is what you make of it, so if you hit a weak straight instead of a strong hook, you'll get credit in the game, but not on the body.

Overall, this is a fun game! I've been trying to get myself working out indoors and not being able to afford Ring Fit, this fit the bill. It's been good so far, the game customizes routines based on your fitness goals. My second workout kicked my butt, but I had a lot of fun. The "trainers" are pretty encouraging, I've been working with Janice. There's some things I wish were a little different though, like for me boxing is new and I feel like learning these moves so quick is a lot to take in. I wish there was more of a way for the game to see if my form is correct and give more tips. Other than that, if you're looking for a fun workout give this a shot!

Fitness Boxing 2 is a great way to get some more activity out of your day. The game has numerous modes that'll help count calories and it pairs great before or after a workout of Ring Fit.

I like the fitness you get from it. Never boxed before. I think I trimmed fat on my sides and front. I like the work out because it trains me to focus to get the punches on point.
As a female who likes to dress modestly, I don't appreciate how some of the women are dressed. After gaining some points to change clothes, I had my character Janice wear sweat pants. I thought now she looked modest but then I noticed a solid line right down the middle of her body and sorta see.....(the word Trump was defamed for.) I have a big screen TV and maybe it's more apparent because of that. Nintendo should be mindful of these things. It can make certain people like me feel really uncomfortable.

I have enjoyed playing this fitness boxing game so far! After a few workouts, I can tell it gives a good workout. It is definitely something you should do supplemental to other workouts but it is both fun and gives you a bit of a workout! I do like how you can do modifications to your daily workouts or even do free training where you can select specific workouts. I would recommend. If you have the original fitness boxing game, I heard this one isn't too much different. But if you do not have the original, it is worth trying this game out

It's fun, but lost it's novelty real quick, I was hoping to get into the daily training mode but quickly became bored with it, that could just be a me problem, but I think more variation in the routines would make it more engaging. I also found the remotes to not be super accurate or responsive, which can be discouraging. Seems like I can get a better score by "cheating" than by actually doing the exercises. Still, one of few options like this, so there's not really much competition, and it's good for what it is, I guess I just had unrealistic expectations lol
