Awesome for ghost hunters and security purposes of

Bought July 8 2016, used for ~ 30 hours over ~ 1 1/2 month, never connected by wi-fi as was supposed to, video quality was great, but product failed catastrophically in that time. (Died August of that same year) First, the video turned purplish and had a bright vertical stripe down the middle, a day later, product was dead, no lights, would not charge or turn on. Tried in vain to get a hold of someone in customer service at Flir, never got a call back. ***********Fast forward to January 2018************ Finally got a rep from Flir to contact me after I warned people on a post by Flir on Facebook. They messaged me and today, over a year later, called and started a claim with Flir. Daniel, the Flir representative, was very helpful, but Flir only wanted to send a new one for a price, I wanted refund due to faulty product, but I had already written it off as a poor product choice. $196 down the drain in less than 1 1/2 months. Daniel immediately submitted the claim to a higher authority on the claims team as they had records of it being online only up to that point in time, August 2016, as the last traces of usage. I was totally unaware of that, but it did help with the credibility of my claim, as I had no other records showing my months of attempting to file a claim with their warranty. Will up day when I learn of the resolution, I really don't expect much, as I've already come to terms with losing almost $200 on a faulty product and already replaced it with a much better, functional product Arlo meets my needs and has been working since September 2017..

They try to have this camera fit almost every need (action, security, monitoring). And it does all them pretty well (there are some bugs), but it doesn't do any one thing excellent. It's reasonably priced for what it is capable of doing. I find that connecting to the camera directly (it has it's own wifi transmitter), does not work well after keeping the network up for around a week or so.

Super great quality picture, very easy to use, customer service is great during set up.....but after 4 months my camera stopped working. I am talking with Flir and am confident they are going to replace the camera but why did it stop working and will the next one do the same thing? If so, I will remove some stars....

Wanted this to work out. Didn't like all the cloud settings. Seemed like quirky software when purchased. Guessing Flir has improved this product since then. Many products in the segment, so lots of choices.

Will be buying a 2nd one for the outside. images are clear and works as expected

Works well, good image. There's a battery so it works during power loss.

Ok but needs more work on ther app for I phones ....good night vision

I liked being able to get the camera up and running quickly.

I had heard some great things about this camera and I was excited to receive this order. The first thing I noticed about this camera is the simplicity in the setup process. The scanning of the QR code makes it so easy to setup. I also like the passwords needed for each camera as an extra security measure. I love the wide angle viewing of the camera and the quality of the 1080p. Similar cameras I have had in the past were also 1080 but the video quality of this camera seems superior. I love the two-way audio feature so I can speak to my kids when they walk in the door. It is also nice that you have the ability to mute the audio if you just want to watch. I noticed when playing around with the different features, that the night vision of this camera is excellent. I can't remember any previous cameras that performed this well in this department.

This item was very nice to have when he decided to let his girlfriend live here, she was a thief and this was great to catch her in the act

love it! bought a different brand and couldn't figure out how to configure it. took it back. bought this one and quickly got it set up. Love watching my dog on the camera while I am at work.

I bought this for my condo so when I'm not there I can get info on who enters/who and why. I was pleasantly surprised it takes temperature readings as well, so I can eliminate the "weather check" from condo HOA and do this myself. I have yet to do the whole potential of this unit though.

This is my second flir camera. The first worked so well, I bought a second. I do however hope they make eventual improvements to the firmware/software.

This is a nice camera. It is good quality and has many options.

Camera has local storage which is what made it a good purchase
