So the watch itself does look incredibly nice, it is as thick as the s3 but unfortunately the os is incredibly limited. I wouldn't recommend there's a new one coming out soon for this one so i'd say if you're considering a watch to take a look at the new model. Hopefully they have a much better watch at that point.

The watch battery was slow to charge and didn't last long, the watch screen lacks responsiveness, and the features that it has are very limited. Like can't even reply to a text message limited. Returned the day after purchasing.

Overall Great Smartwatch, but Not Perfect

So for me this is my second smart watch. I already owned a 42mm Asus Zenwatch 2 prior to this one. While the Zenwatch serves as a great starter watch (if you're looking for an android watch on the cheaper end), it can also still leave a little more to be desired (if you're serious about the little details). I purchased this smartwatch as a means to "upgrade" and take advantage of the amazing Black Friday deal. Let me just say that right off the bat, the craftsmanship is probably the biggest and best thing this watch has going for it that can separate it from other smartwatch makers out there (depending on which ones you're comparing it to). This particular model has a really good weight to it that feels good wrapped around your wrist, without suffocating it or creating that irritating itch after long hours of wear. The links in the chain and everything else feels really tight and cohesive altogether. I also have to say that, after having to remove a few links, this watch fits me better/tighter than any watch I've worn before--non smart watches included. It all speaks volumes to the product quality that you get when you purchase a watch from a company like Fossil or Nixon, which are watch makers primarily with added tech features as a bonus, as compared to buying from a company like Asus or Samsung, which are tech companies primarily...who decided to try their hand at watch making. That being said, as far as the tech side of things go though, the watch can still pretty much go toe to toe with any other "high end" smart watch out there on the market. There is a very noticably distinct resolution and performance difference between this watch and my Zenwatch 2. Much less pixelated and much smoother when navigating or switching pages, just the same as any other high end smartwatch. It's also worth mentioning that it has a pretty good IP waterproof rating as well.
Now, this brings me to some of the cons the watch has, which though not many, are still definitely present. For those who may find it important, there is a noticable exclusion of a heart rate monitor as well as the "flat tire" screen feature you may have heard others mention. In addition, some of my personal quirks include the side button, physical charger, and the God awful charge time. You'll use the one and only side button to access your Google assistant, go to the apps screen, and power off the device. It works decently, but I do wish it was more sensitive. There have been way too many times when I've had to press it multiple times just to get it to acknowldge my press. Any slight decrease of pressure in your finger press could mean getting ignored. Though minor and admittedly nit picky, the next complaint is the wireless Qi enabled charger. It is a flat circular surface that is magnetized to gravitate towards the watch's undersurface when near. Once attached, it'll start charging automatically. Honestly, it's a nice touch, however, it's also really awkward since there's no stand or decent place to put it. What you end up with is this dangley cord, that awkwardly attaches to your watch to charge (you'll see what I mean if you get it). Considering the normal price of this watch, after having paid nearly $300, I'd like to think that the quality aspect would've been seen through, to include the charger and not just the watch itself.
Lastly, the worst part about this watch....the darn charge times. I admit, the Asus may have spoiled me a bit with it's lightening fast charge times (about 45 mins, 0-100%), but at the same time, to say this watch charges slowly...would be a grave understatement. I've seen tree sap move quicker than this watch charges. Once charged, it'll last for about a good two full days (on average use & brightness). When needed though, it typically takes about a full 6 hrs or so to charge from 0-100%, so no last minute charging before you head out the door with this watch--plan accordingly. Maybe I'd be willing to just chalk this up to mine just having a faulty battery...if this wasn't my SECOND copy of this same watch. It's also worth noting that the watch actually gets pretty hot while charging. So much to a point where I had to turn off the "always on screen" feature in fear of the watch burning another permanent time stamp image into the screen (yes, this actually happened the first time). I woke up in the morning to find a slight, but permanent, "2:08" image burned into the background of my screen...so you have been warned.
Overall, final verdict is that it's still a great smart watch all around with plenty of features to enjoy, especially if you have no smart watch at all, but just don't expect perfection. At its current price ($165 on 12/03/2017), it's a good deal. At it's regular price?...I may shop around a bit, while still keeping this watch in mind.
Cheers!

Useless with iPhone

This watch is light weight, beautiful face and design for those who want a normal looking smart watch. However if you are an iPhone user, you will not get notifications from texts. It took me forever (restarting, factory resetting, and reconnecting) to get a text to appear, which I couldn’t reply to or reopen once looked at because of the incompatiblity with iPhone. It beats the purpose of a smart watch if you can’t do anything with the notifications. Despite it saying it’s compatible, it really isn’t.

Do not buy this watch!!!!

Every time I look at this watch I realize that I have changed the watch face. You do not have to click a button all you have to do is accidentally touch it. When I contacted fossil I was told to lock it. Great now all the messages vanish before I have time to look at it. So I have to unlock the watch and look at the message. You can’t get it to lock immediately you press the lock function and you have to wait forever for it to lock. I mean minutes. In which time the face has changed again. Also the clasp release is located on only one side of the band. If you are wearing a jacket it will randomly come undone. This is a poorly executed watch. Buy a Samsung or Apple they are the same price. I went with fossil just to be different. Yay I’m different with a watch I can’t stand.

Screen wasn't even - Tilted!

As above, the screen was tilted, the charging was slow and both the touch screen and voice control were not very responsive. It also didn't look as sharp as in the product images, the strap was duller in colour. Returned the day after purchase.
