I very much enjoyed the movie. Good story filled with great actors. The only thing is they didn't do a good enough job explaining the time hops and who was connected to who, but all in all it was good.

This movie provides a little history and sheds a little light on the life of slaves and men that were not free. However, things were somewhat repetitive.

How to tell a story in history that is not well known? How to make it accurate and dramatic. I'm not sold these two criteria were met.

Movie dragged a little and seemed to run long. I get the whole Civil War Vs. 1950's timeline but i don't think it needed the later.

A little too PC for my taste. If your going to base a movie on facts at least use more than one fact and don't distort that one fact.

The result is a riveting visual history and did a good job of balancing the factual record with good not great story telling.

Movie was good but not good enough to go purchase it. Wait for it to come out on TV or Cable. Good story behind it.
