There’s not much to complain about, when it comes to free items. The way they go about delivering the service is a bit unorthodox, but it delivers nonetheless.

I'm usually thorough with ensuring that the phone will work with a provider before shifting. I ensured that my unlocked GSM phone was compatible (did an IMEI check) and then proceeded to purchase the SIM. After I paid for activation of the SIM card, their "app" that lets you talk and message simply gets stuck in a loop that states "Activation Required". If I follow the link to Activate, it states "Congratulations, this SIM has been already Activated !" .. If you look at their forums, you will see a LOT of people with this complaint. Tried to call customer service, and that's the worst part: you can either do "self-service" (basically, no help), OR you can pay $5.99 instantly to get "expedited" answers to your emails. Ridiculous. Just save your time and money, please.

It works but if there is an issue like not able to make a call, there is no instant customer representative to help you unless you pay a membership fee...

There are so many things that you can accidentally do on the online management portal that results in fees charged to your account, just be very careful when changing/downgrading/upgrading plans/services, you'll often run into additional charges to your on-file payment method. Customer service will NOT revert any charges to you. If you're trying to use this for free, watch out for the gotchas.

Can't beat the free cell service. Very easy setup and works great. Coverage is fantastic.. would highly recommend.

This is not really 100% free. They still require you to have a credit card on file. I would recommend having a prepaid card on file so that you do not get charged.

Basic minutes were free, but watch out if you go over the allotted minutes. They will withdrawal from your credit card.

The activation of this SIM cost additional money and the advertised free internet is anything but that. I had a hard time cancelling the service. Thankfully I was able to dispute the credit card charges incurred during my experimentation. I should have read the online reviews of freeedom pop before taking on this headache. This is no fault of Best Buy of course. The order was delivered ahead of time.

Service can be spotty. Would check map for coverage because if there's not service it's hard to receive calls. If you use wifi it works great as an extra phone number. Doesn't really work for SMS confirmation and other text message deals just so you know.

If you are looking for a sim card to use with freedompop service. This is a cheap option
