This blue ray steelbook edition is great. Still a big fan of the hockey mask look that Jason wears for the first time. I love the old movie feel to it just like back in the day. Cant wait for the Final Chapter on Steelbook!!

Love the new Friday the 13th Part 3 steelbook edition, however NO 3D edition in this set. So, beware of that. Artwork is great throughout. The 3D version was released previously and is the 1982 3D Theatrical with Red and Blue paper glasses you had to wear. The image on this particular 2D Blu-ray edition is cleaner and the sound is improved to DTS 5.1. I know the first four parts of the series was already 4K scanned, so it does look improved when played back on the 4K player and 4K TV. I compared this edition to the previous Paramount Blu-ray release, which had BOTH versions on the same disc. This steelbook edition appeared cleaner and had less noticeable dirt, particularly in the opening scenes with the ending of part 2. The menu is fairly good but had no background music. I wish they would have used the wood looking lettering for this edition like the VHS and DVD copy. I can understand for the continuity of the other previous two movies. I am going to subtract 1 star for Paramount not having the 3D version on this release as well as the 2D. I can't wait for Part IV: The Final Chapter.

Though the Steelbook cover is awesome like the 1st 2, I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this one. This Movie is HISTORY, because its the 1st 3D Horror film of the 80's, so there should have been at least 2 versions on this special Blu-Ray Disc. And, they edited the original theatrical trailer and took the 3D mentioning off. The HD quality is not the best in some scenes. Overall, its a good souvenir timepiece for the film and cult classic.

I love all these steel books they’re doing for the franchise and I own all of the ones that have been released so far. I only wish they were in 4K but either way the movies look and sound great and I can’t wait to get the next one.

Cool anniversary Steelbook! Will be keeping it sealed as I’m sure anyone who bought this should already own F13 PT 3. Not a 3D disc with glasses. Just standard BluRay.

This movie is better today then it was back in the day especially with It being in 4K. Considering it was made in the 80’s it’s still a great movie to watch.
