Huge horror movie fan especially from the 80s. Enjoy horror genre for video games as well. This was a no brainer. They need to make a Halloween horror game as well!

I have been a fan of the series a long time and this game was a blast to play with friends. Whether your playing with the camp counselors or Jason, you will be having fun. It’s not perfect and does have some glitches that need some fixing but the game is playable and a joy for any horror fan.

Pretty good and worth a $30 purchase. Graphics are not that great, but to be honest Friday the 13th on all other platforms doesn't look that pretty either. The frame rate is mainly consistent, and for the most part it runs well. There are a lot of bugs with AI, but I own this game on the PS4 and it's riddled with bugs as well. The fire is cool, the offline modes are fun, but wish there could have been more content, but online is fun. I would say raise the brightness when you play, otherwise default settings is a little too dark.
Not bad. Not worth $40 considering the same edition is cheaper on other platforms.

I have heard about the Friday the 13th game since back when it was first announced. When they finally released a Switch version, I had to pick it up.
The majority of the game is online. There is a single player campaign where you play as Jason in scenarios with objectives (kill the counselors without being seen, throw someone into the fire, etc) and you can replay them over and over to try to complete all of the achievements and earn points you can use to unlock new costumes, weapons and skills.
Just note...there is no single-player experience where you can play offline as a counselor. You are strictly stuck with Jason. The development team has stated that getting the AI correct for Jason was impossible and would have made the game feel broken, so they stuck to only giving you control of Jason.
However, online is a completely different story! You can join lobbies or get randomly paired into a lobby for a quick match. Only one person will be assigned Jason and the rest are counselors. I honestly don't know who I prefer to play as more online as both Jason and the counselors have their own sets of skills and gameplay styles.
As a counselor, you can choose to work together or try to play on your own. There is voice chat so you can talk to others and try to form strategies...sometimes you need to get gas and find the car keys so you can start the car and escape with your friends. You may also choose to radio for the police and try to survive until they arrive. All of these options make the counselor fun and then being hunted by Jason adds terror the entire time...you never know where he will pop up!
All in all, I bought this game for $20 and then used a $5 reward, so I ended up paying $15 and feel it's well worth it! If you are on the fence, hold off on a good sale as I think you'll be in for a real treat!

Brutal game, not for kids, fan-favorite on switch!

What can I say, this is a classic gore hack and slash. However, it has a surprisingly refreshing slow pace for a creepy build-up that creates a gameplay with tense music and a creepy vibe like your hiding and being watched, which is exactly what it’s supposed to accomplish! Don’t even get me started on how many ways to die or to kill in the game, it’s nuts! Not for kids, very graphic, looks great on the switch the controls could be a little more precise but it’s more the atmosphere that you will enjoy than the attack scheme.

Still buggy like it was on other consoles, but not as bad as I remember. Game can be really fun with the right people. I got lucky and found some random group who was a blast to play with. This game natively supports voice, which is helps a lot. You can play without a mic, but i recommend to use one. I did run into a couple 12 year olds, but not too many. Just mute them if they get annoying. Remember to read the how to play and study the controls. You dont want to be panicking and trying to figure them out. At first I was going to trade it in, but once I found some cool peeps, I decided to keep it. I forgot how it was when people talk to each other in games like back in my csgo or wow days.

Really fun game, though I highly recommend playing with friends or online as bots can be broken at times and start running towards walls

This is a tense, action oriented game where you play as Jason. Really a lot of fun. Unfortunately it is mature rated so play with kids at your discretion. I recommend it.

This game is a must for fans of the Series. You can play as Jason or a camp counselor in single or multiplayer mode. I personally like the single mode games. It's very true to the franchise IMO as I'm a big fan of the Friday series. I can't wait to play more to unlock all the features and content is has. When I first heard about this being released I was looking forward to it and so far it hasn't disappointed.

We have the game for PS4 and we wanted to be able to play it on the road so it worked out nicely and the graphics are excellent. It’s just as good as the PS4 graphics. If you are in to Friday the 13th slasher games you will also enjoy this one.

This is a great port, I haven't encountered any major flaws where it's unplayable or a bad port overall. It's a really fun game and contains all dlc in the cartdrige (no need to download anything but the patch which takes a few minutes). Would recommend it to mature audiences.
