I bought it during a heat wave and it cooled most of my 2 bedroom apartment with ease. I would keep the bedroom and bathroom doors, as well as windows in my living room and kitchen closed while I use the air conditioner and the air conditioner comfortably cools the living/ dining rooms. I love the "econ" feature on it! This neat feature lets you use the air conditioner to keep the room that it's in at a certain temperature, thus eliminating the need to constantly blow super cool air and do so only when necessary to keep the room at the desired temperature. It was a great buy for the price!

I bought two Frigidaire models at the same time, one 5,000 BTU and this 10,000 BTU model. Installation for both was easy (though I had to cut pieces of wood to raise them above the storm windows) and I like that both are Energy Star rated and have interchangeable remote controls. My only complaint is that the "econ" or "energy saver" mode seems pointless. It runs the fan for a few seconds roughly every 20 minutes, but regardless of the temperature setting it doesn't seem to ever switch the compressor on to actually cool the room.

Nice AC unit for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this unit installed in the living room of my apartment, and it does a great job of cooling and de-moisturizing the air during the sweaty months in NYC. It's certainly not "whisper quiet" so I don't know if I would recommend it for a bedroom, but it's not bad. I don't hear it over the TV when I'm relaxing on the weekends. I do like that it has a remote!

Great A/C Unit for $$$

Can take an 85* room to mid 70"s in about an hour. Fan is louder than I'd prefer for this application - have to turn down or off when on the phone. So far so good - does what I had hoped - provide space cooling.
