so far i have been really happy with this air conditioneer

All I needed to cool my small two bedroom apartment.

The item works well, overall, but the installed system has too many gaps to the outside. The installation foam that is supposed to enclose the system should be made to be airtight. Otherwise, we are satisfied with its performance.

The unit is loud. At first I thought it was me, did not mention anything. My husband has since told me he thought it was loud.

I've always had Frigidare are good. My last one lasted me more than 10 years. But I found this one isn't as cold as my old one.

Sent defective AC twice and finally called to have defective discount. Super loud AC.

Ok, for small room. I expected it to cool two rooms, however, it sufficed for one.

The Frigidare 10,000 BTU air conditioner works well for a very small room, but is not very effective at cooling a standard size room. We purchased it to cool a small bedroom in the basement and we need to run it at the highest fan setting and lowest temperature setting for more than one hour to cool the room. Very disappointing.

Is good but if you have it on energy saver it shuts off and on

It would cool down part of my living room but not my entire house

I purchased this to replace a through the wall unit. It said it cools up to 500 sq ft, but it doesn't cool my open living/kitchen space of 450 sq ft very well. It's important to keep the remote far from the unit as the remote acts like a thermostat.

Bought this because they supposedly make good refrigerators. Well, they make lousy air conditioners. Didn't do much more than a fan would, barely got cold. My husband is a machinist so he knows how to use, and fix air conditioners if need be, so it's not us using it wrong. Returned it. We had a GE before and another customer recommended them, so we bought a GE from a different store (Best Buy does not sell GE) and are now very happy and chillin'. The one we got from Best Buy was also dented, so I think I may have been sold a return/rebox which makes me not trust Best Buy now.

Works good for the area I placed it in 13x18 could probably have gone for 11000 btu

would not buy. Set up when it was 93 degrees out, no cold air. Inconvenient to return, as this weighed 70 lbs. and had to drive to store. I had this delivered, but I saw no options where someone would pick it up for return

I would strongly advise against purchasing this.... It teuly does not accommodate the square footage it advertises.

It never but out cool air. Know matter what we done. Had to take it back a week after getting it.

Mini splits are the best design around - don't cool space you don't need, no duct losses,quiet, super efficient. But window units are so much easier and for climates that only need AC a few months out of the year, they offer flexibility and low cost. We bought this unit to cool a reasonably sized attic. This is an attic with just a little insulation under the roof and a finished space. So it gets hot! We sized the space and found 10k to be the bare minimum. Larger would be better per the calculations. This one really keeps up, offers a 12 EER, and is pretty quiet. We have a Friedrich Kuhl which claims to be optimized for noise, and this is quieter. Can't beat it.
