Often times if the unit is too large for a space, it will trick the thermostat into thinking the room is cool enough when in reality it is bouncing the air off of nearby walls/items and making the unit turn off prematurely. I also recommend making sure that the filter is clean and nothing is blocking the airflow to the unit. I hope this helps! Kindly, Courtney

Pretty quiet and small which I really like. Easy to put in by myself. I like the remote as it is temp controlled and once it hits the programmed temp the ac shuts off. Seems to cool better in the "cool" mode as compared to "Econ" mode. Not sure about the electric usage as we have a pool and three other air-conditioners in the house. I would definitely recommend this air-conditioner to someone looking to cool down 500-700 or so Square feet.
