Very pleased with this purchase---works well and a good buy.

Got this window ac unit because my other one was frosting up to much and running way to much and made the electric bill go up way to much .. love this one it has a 30 sec fan run to sense the temp in the room and if it hits that temp it comes on and runs till it drops the temp to the set temp....it varies 4 degrees, but that is ok with me.....

This unit replaced another 12,000 BTU air conditioner that stopped working. This unit cools quickly. I use it in a business environment and shut it off when I leave for the day and turn it back on the next day. Well worth the money and the remote is a nice extra.

this AC cools 2 large rooms and is not as loud as expected.

Spend a little more for this air conditioner. It is worth the extra cost. Quiet and has many functions.

With the 12,000 BTU rating, I thought this thing would cool a larger area. This would be a good machine to cool 2 average-sized rooms, but not more than that. Installation wasn't too bad. Definitely a 2-person job.

As stated before, this will definitely get the job done. And as stated it is heavy and you will need a bracket to hold it. If it falls it does NOT fall within warranty.

I had someone else set it up, but you do have to drill a hole in the wall to place it. I have it in my living room and it works well. But I don't use it so much since I have a portable one in my room.

This is a great air conditioner, it cools the house better than the 2 older units I was using last year. I hope it lasts a lifetime?

good delivery time. The given hight dimensions were about 3/8 inch to hig for the mounting space. I HAD TO MODIFY THE WINDOW OPENING THAT 3/8 INCHES

Haven't seen how much the bill will be, but I tried for a more powerful A/C that will get the job done on low to save money longterm. However, it is just way too loud for my comfort. Will move out soon and will probably leave it behind cause I am not used to the noise.

During a heat wave in early August both of my old A/C window units failed. One of them had a 25,000 BTU rating, the other was 5,300 BTU. This new 12,000 BTU unit has been an adaquate replacement for both of them. The new unit is more than enough for the bedroom where it is installed. Run continuously at full blast, it will keep the lower floor of a small house bearable, although not as cool as I would like. I'll install an additional unit later. Printed on the box is a warning not to cut yourself on the unit's rear cooling fins. What is not mentioned is that the cooling fins are very easily bent. Touching them while removing the unit from the carton or during installation will bend them. The fins are about as strong as thick aluminum foil, so be careful not to damage them. The front panel of the unit has only indicator lights on it. The unit is operated with a small remote control. The controls are easy to lean and have useful features. My unit has been running almost continuously for the past month with no problems, so it probably has no manufacturing or design defects. I'm pleased with it.

I purchased this unit to replace a larger unit that was close to 20 years old. Not only is it lightweight, quiet, and was easy to install, it cools down a large area to a comfortable temperature. I have a floorplan where one room feeds into two other rooms via doorways at either end of an opposing wall, making the total area approx. 25' x 25'. This unit cools the room it is located in a bit better than the adjoining rooms due to obstruction by approx. 8' of opposing wall space, but it creates a comfortable climate in the adjoining rooms. I am very pleased with the purchase and would definitely not hesitate to purchase another one if the need arose.

It is so easy to set up that a lady like me, did it herself :-) Price is just right, this same unit will be around 600 when the summer heat kicks in! Better buy now. Yes it makes a humming noise, what electronic device doesn't? But my TV is still overheard from the AC's noise, after a few minutes of using it, you will not notice, unless you are extremely picky and have a super sensative hearing. It cooled down my 20 x 30 Livingroom rather quickly, as soon as I finished installing the bedroom unit, boom, the livingroom was so nice and cool, i didn't want to get out of my couch. Great buy!
