I have Central air, but my unit can't keep up with size of house and the extremely hot summer we are having the Wash DC area. Purchased 3 weeks ago & installed in 600' sq ft room that is open to the kitchen and rest of house. The room also has the rear entry door that opens frequently for dog. Not only is it cooling the large room, the entire house including bedrooms feel much cooler. I am very pleased with the performance and functionality of of the window unit, it was also really easy to install.

Well made unit with good cooling power. Easy to install. The blower is a little on the noisy side, though. Still, I'm very happy with the unit.

I'm using this unit to cool 600 sq. ft. with no problem. It runs pretty quiet and was easy to install. It's not that heavy. So far, I'm happy with my purchase.

We finally broke down this year and bought an A/C to cool our living room during this summer's heat wave. Because our living area room was rather large for an apartment, I worried that we wouldn't be able to find a window A/C unit that would cool the entire space. We were happily surprised by the power of this unit. It cools not only the living room, but also our kitchen area and hallway. It can be loud if you are cooling at a lower temperature, but overall we are happy with this purchase! No more sweating in the living room!

It felt like we had central air. We bought two units and the whole house was very cold after running them overnight. These are the best air conditioners we have had yet. I would recommend to anyone who needs a great air conditioner for their living rooms or bedrooms.!

Works well. Not too loud. Keeps bedroom cool. Easy to move in and out of window.

I bought this ac a decade ago, this thing is an absolute beast. It lasted all this time, and still works partially. It's finally coming to an end to it's life span and I can't help but feel a little emotionally attached to it. The way this air conditioner was built must have been amazing to work for so long without maintenance it's insane. I just wanted to leave a good review here out of respect and awe of the quality of this air conditioner.

Picked this up for my bedroom. Great value, easy installation, and quite performance. My only gripe is that the remote that comes with this model does not have thermal feature (does not show room temperature on remote). So if you are far away from the AC you will not be able to tell the temperature of the room. If i knew this model did not have this feature I would have opted for the model that does. Not a big deal but I thought this unit came with thermal remote. Other than that this is a great buy.

In the market for an AC w/ strong btu to accomodate my junior studio (550+ sq ft) and to replace a huge outdated ac from the 80's that was so heavy. I picked this up in the end of May and was very satisfied with the options and the coolness. My apt is not your typical L shape studio. The cool air reaches even the various different rooms of the apt with ease. The remote control is a bonus and so happy I don't have to walk all the way to the ac just to turn on and off or adjust settings. When i move to a house, I can continue to use this ac which will accomdate a larger space.

Good AC, in stock for a good price. This could have easily been a Grand Slam sale except when I got to the Store I had to wait while they " dug up " my order and "pulled the merchandise". This was hours after the email saying the order was ready for pick up. Helpful associates seeing me wait came up to ask if they could help. I was out of patience by the sixth one. Real simple, you send out emails telling people not to come to the store till your order is ready. then you send an email saying your order is ready for pickup. Then when I get to the store the order should be ready to pick up. That means merchandise pulled and on a cart by customer service and paperwork ready for closure.

I love my air conditioner it works great feels like a ice box. I love it.

The product was an excellent price, for the name brand. Not so happy about using the remote control. Prefer adjusting on air-conditioner. Great Buy!! Thanks

In stock while most places were out. Cooling a 850 sq ft apt. Very pleased with item and price.

The product is great. If not for the Best Buy staff I would have had problems. They took five minutes to show me features on the demo model and made the installation and setup a snap. The staff are true professionals.

I have a split unit home this unit cool all upstairs and the central ont have to run in the hottest of summer days love it

We bought this window A/C unit based on previous reviews, some which described it as quiet. Can't dispute this claim more distinctly–this is not a quiet A/C unit. We have lived in cities for 16 years and have used window cooling units for 15 of them—lots of different sizes and brands. This is by far the loudest of them all. It cools the front 600' of our 1000' apt (the back is cooled by another unit) very quickly, don't get that part wrong. However, if it weren't installed in the office, three rooms away from our living room, we wouldn't be able to watch a movie without blasting the volume. Forget working in the office while the unit is running. It's like sitting next to a turbine.

For the size and power, it is quiet enough to watch TV. I like it. I like the remote. It comes in handy.

This unit is so loud that I don't even want to use it. I cannot even be in the room when it is turned on, it is that distracting and annoying. Sure, it works well and cools the room off nicely. But I never want to use it! And, the salesperson in BestBuy told me it was quiet. Such a lie.

Have been working this AC. Like a horse and so far, no complaints. Great value for its price.

I just purchased the air conditioner in July 2011. So Far! So Good! I probably could give a better review next year.
