I hate ice machines. They are so noisy and take up too much of my counter space. But my husband has to chew ice all day and the one in our Samsung fridge works every 6 months or whenever. We had an Insigna ice machine for almost a year , I was thrilled when that noisy thing broke. But my husband bought another with a 2 year warranty. Shoot me. Now. Well it broke just like the one before. When I went to Best Buy they told me Insigna Ice Makers we’re unavailable. Thank you Baby Jesus! After telling the news to my husband , (did I mention he needs to chew ice all day ?) he forced me well not forced but said “ Go on line and find another one I need to chew so ice “ as he left for the store to by a 20lb bag of ice. So the Frigidaire Ice Maker (comes in decorative colors) was purchased. A two week delivery date ( no I will not pick it up at the store. I am enjoying the peace and quiet from the death of the endless hum ,whirling clang of the Insigna Ice Maker) This Frigidaire arrive within days. ( Insertclose up of me weeping ). My husband unpackaged it with a smile , added the water and turned her on. It’s been a week. Listen to me, this ice machine is silent. I’m talking dead silent. Like broken silent. Making ice around the clock and doing so without calling attention to itself Just a shiny robotic wonder churning out as much ice as my beloved can chew all day long. I hope it never breaks. I think I love it.

Its definitely a good investment you do need to empty it out an clean it so mold doesnt build. Also be aware that it doesnt keep the ice cold so it will melt if you dont use it. You can easily place ice into another container an put it in the freezer so youll have more ice on hand which is what i do especially to fill my cooler. Also it would be nice if the scoop had a slot to place it in on the side of the device so the scoop isnt left inside the machine which can cause cross contamination.

I love it... it's quiet, makes ice quickly, two ice sizes to choose from. Good purchase

I live in a studio and this is the perfect size. It makes as much ice as I need , not noisy when running . The sleek black color is also nice.

A nice ice maker a little loud while making the ice. Always get at least the 2 year warranty. I have had to replace other model in less the 16 months. So far so good with this model.

Excellent ice maker and so far is working great and as expected.

I've had this for exactly 1 year. It makes ice great, but is impossible to clean. All the videos tell you to add a vinegar water solution and use a toothbrush or cotton swab to clean it, or descale it. There is buildup in the tub that holds the water where it freezes and it's impossible to get anything back there to really clean it. This thing really should have some sort of access to the upper back portion of the ice maker. I'm ready to get rid of this thing with the amount of work it takes to get it clean (which you can't).

Great product! Sits nicely on our counter top and the ice comes out very fast!

Very pleased. Worked as advertised from the first use. Different shape "cubes" and would be great to make what you need before hand and use at a dinner party. This ice maker would be great for any use.

We are very pleased with this ice maker... I bought it to help supplement the lack of ice production of my fridge's ice maker that is currently not working (Samsung, less than 2 years old - Google it and you will understand!) and the need of my wife to chew ice! The machine is easy to set up, relatively quiet and does the job....

This unit is awesome. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use; how quick it made ice cubes; how quiet it runs and how many ice cubes that you get on one fill of water. I would highly recommend.

We purchased this ice maker to be used in our new RV and Summer cabin. It is perfect to use in storing enough ice for the two of us or a much larger crowd. We set it up to run fill plastic baggies to be placed in the freezer. It’s easy to operate, quick to make ice and very quiet when operating. I would highly recommend this ice maker.

It does make some noise, but no more that other appliances which are constantly in use. It does seem to run more when the water level gets low, but hasn't reached the low level trigger point I like the size of the cubes, and find myself grabbing a few to wet my mouth, which is very convenient, in my opinion. It might be improved by somehow keeping the ice bin a little more refrigerated, but that would bulk, or require it to be larger, which would take up more cabinet space, so maybe not. As with any product one can always find fault with something, but I am fairly well pleased with what it does, and if I wanted to catch the ice to put into the freezer, I could easily do so, but I would put into bags to better facilitate breaking it up, instead of a storage bin. In short, I like it for what it is/does, and wish I'd bought one years ago. If you are looking for something for relatively small, but adequate volume, it is worth the price. If you are looking for high volume consumption, then opt for a more commercial machine.

We purchased this to use in our camper. It makes ice quickly and is pretty quiet. When it ran out of water over night, the ice that was in the basket kept until we refilled the machine. I was really surprised it didn't melt. So far, we are very happy with this purchase.

My dad was unable to get our ice maker fixed since the part is no longer made, and honestly we didn't want to buy another fridge. We were buying bags of ice for $2.50 twice a week for a total of $260 a year. I finally broke down and started looking for a countertop ice maker. I read one review about this one in particular that the lady's husband had been through two ice makers in a year, and she LOATHED them because they were noisy, expensive, and took up space. Then she bought this one and gave a good review about it being worth it. SO I bought it... and it was WELL worth it. It has already made more ice than what we would have bought. It has pretty much already paid for itself. I never have to stop and get a bag again (or get in trouble for forgetting to). It was easily the best money I have spent in a very long time.

This ice maker is the perfect compact size and produces ice cubes really quickly. It is not very loud which is a plus.

When the ice maker on my Samsung refrigerator went out and couldn't be repaired, I thought had two choices, buy a new $1500+ refrigerator, or buy bagged ice, After 6 months of buying ice, I found that counter top ice makers had evolved to where they are a reasonable alternative. I'm most pleased with the Frigidaire 26 lb compact ice maker. I run it only a couple times a week, making enough ice in an afternoon to fill a couple gallon zip bags for the freezer that lasts several days. When the bags are empty, just repeat.

I've had this about a month and am very pleased. I primarily use ice for daily water, iced tea, and iced coffee when I work from home, but hate the ice that my fridge automated icemaker makes; hate messing with plastic trays; and love the "store ice" but the bags take up too much room in my freezer. This compact machine meets my personal needs very well. I usually keep about 1 pounds of ice in a silicone storage bag in freezer. But I've also kept it permanently "on" for a couple of days, and it is pretty quiet, except when the ice drops into the reservoir. For purposes of keeping cold drinks cold, for 1-2 people, it's great. The ice isn't as hard or as big as normal cubes, but that's OK by me. I just love having a standard supply while still having lots of ice in my freezer. Very happy, and hope the machine proves to be reliable and long-lasting as time goes on.

I love cold drink i decide to order this ice maker for me and my mom. We both love how this perform is very easy to handle and make ice really fast. They soo beautiful and made my drinks look fancy. I hope you like it like us and for the sale price on best buy i cant complain at all.
