While waiting on my central AC unit to be fixed, I purchased this and was satisfied. It even cooled a much larger area than it’s supposed to. Great purchase.

It gets my bedroom super cold plus it helps cool the hallway and even a little in the adjacent bedroom. I also like the "Dry" feature to help remove excess humidity. And it's fairly easy to empty the water. I didn't use the foam pieces for the window, as I will be storing until next Summer. I would definitely recommend this portable ac unit and I'm thinking of getting another one.

But its perfect for a small bedroom or something. Its programable and the remote is a nice touch for sure

Best Buy Description is Incorrect.

Best Buy website states the unit is rated for a 450 sq/ft room size (see attached screen shot). Unit couldn't keep the room cool on hot summer days. Kept working with it and finaly pulled the box out of storage and to my surprise the unit is only rated to cool a room 250 sq/ft. Called customer support and was told so sorry, you're past your return window, not our problem. So now, thanks to website errors that are not my fault, I'm stuck with a unit that will not do the job I purchased it for. FYI for those interested. Department of Energy established a new BTU rating for portable A/C units in 2017. This 6500 BTU unit is only rated for 250 sq/ft under those new standards. Apparently 7 years wasn't enough time for Best Buy to correct their advertisement.

Information is not correct on page

The features shows its 10,000 BTU. I ordered this for pickup. And boy was i shocked to see 250sq ft on the box. And 6500 BTU. I dont know how this model got such good ratings. But ill tell you this… the only way i coild feel this AC is sticking my face right in front of it. Leaving it on all day has not brought the temperature down. the heat exiting the exhaust fan still leaks through the adapter they give you. I returned this the next day. This woudnt even work even if i only had 250 sq ft.

The condition listed was excellent but they came with visibly big scratches on control panel. The panel itself was like someone tried to take it apart. One of them had pet hair all over. One of them constantly shows that the filter needs cleaning when there is nothing there. The other cools only on auto setting and not Cool air setting. Can't return them because the window passed.

It was too late to return it through Best Buys return policy and then I had through go through the nightmare of dealing with Electrolux (Frigidaire) (Do not recommend!!!). After numerous chats and phone calls they claim to have sent a replacement unit but could never provide any tracking information or any additional information. They dont even know where it was delivered to.... After four months I just gave up and cut my losses. Dealing with Electrolux was the worst customer experience I have ever had and it all occurred only because this unit stopped working on me.
