Affordable entry into smart A/C
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I first got this I couldn't connect but fortunately they released an update for the app that allowed for longer Wifi keys. Once they did, connecting was fairly easy and straightforward. Cools my bedroom well and if turned up full with a fan in the door, does a pretty good job of keeping the living room cooler as well. Noise levels may bother some light sleepers but not too bad. Installation was easy as well. I think my only complaint would be that there doesn't seem to be a drip outlet on the bottom and pooled condensed water splashes around and contributes to the noise. Not sure how that passed engineering, but I plan to drill one myself and then paint the hole with rustproofing paint. Esthetically it's one of the nicer window a/c units I've seen and filter access is much easier than others. I'm actually considering buying a second unit. I hope they release an API so I can add it into my smart home system!

It's loud, the app control is impossible to get working and as mentioned in other reviews the direction of the output is up causing the cool air to be forced up and fall to the floor without really making it into the room. Poor design.
