Needed a small size window AC with a great SEER rating for economic operation. This Frigidaire model was highly rated by consumer reports. It cools and dehumidifies efficiently and is quiet during operation. Remote control/thermostat is a plus as it ensures temperature are even across the 16 x 22 ft space.

everything went smooth on installation, ran very quiet, definitely a good purchase. Paid 150.00 more for a supposed very quiet unit from another retailer, the frigidaire out-performs the pricier unit.

Replaced a 6k and 10k with 2 of these 8k units and they work good. Not thrilled that when you turn them on they go to eco mode, I'd rather they go to cool which is what they were when turned off. 239 is a fair price and best buy was competitively priced with other local stores.

Very satisfied with this AC's power and it's features. I love that it turns off when the room reaches the temperature I set when I use the energy saving function. The remote itself comes with an internal thermometer which is neat. Would definitely recommend this for a medium sized room.

I decided after 6 years that it was time to replace my window A/C unit. Saw this online and looked into the reviews. Decided that I should get one and see if it was as good as it sounded. It is better!! Really cools down a large room quickly, and most importantly, quietly. Well worth the money.

Purchased this air conditioner for my bedroom (20'x10') cause my 8,000 BTU finally gave out after 11 years. This A/C Unit is a whole lot smaller than my older unit, about the size of a 5,000 BTU. I suggest if you have a fairly large room go with a 10,000 or 12,000 BTU

When I first used this air conditioner it was cycling constantly because of a tv on the left side of it. I found that if I keep the remote on my bed headboard (which is about 10 feet away) and set it to sensing mode, it works pretty well. The condenser did freeze up once when the temp was 60 outside but the air temp in the room was 75 and I was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, opening a window and running a fan didn't quite cut it. One other feature I really don't like is that this air conditioner is automatically set to energy saver mode so each time I turn it on I have to use the remote to set it to cool. At least the fan stays at the setting you last programmed it to. I hope the remote doesn't break. It is essential for me to have the sensing feature.

I purchased two 8000 BTU Frigidaire window air conditioners for my small home. Not only does it efficiently cool my space, even in the economy cooling mode, but with the negative ionizer, it filters the air, giving me cooler, cleaner air to breathe. I'm happy!

Got this air conditioner to replace an older but larger unit. I was expecting to need to buy a second one to get the same cooling as I had. But this a/c surprised me in its ability to cool multiple rooms so I did not need to get a second unit.

Light, powerful, very efficient and very easy to use air conditioner. The price was right! Great value. I would recommend this unit for small to medium size rooms.

Works as advertised in cooling my reasonable large living room. My only complaint is that the kit they give for side panels is a bit flimsy. However, I do like this AC enough that I am considering purchasing another to replace the one I currently have in my bedroom.

I bought this air-conditioner based on a recommendation from a Best Buy employee. I actually found it to do the job it was terribly heavy. It was incredibly noisy. So noisy that in fact I had to shut it off at night while I was sleeping because it would constantly be turning on and off very loudly. Enough to wake you up like an alarm clock. I have two other air conditioners buy a different brand that starts with an H and ends with an R and they are whisper quiet and wonderful. I would not buy this product again and less it's going in somewhere that you don't care if it's really noisy.

Since this is the hottest summer on record and no rain, this was really a life saver. I reviewed it on line and picked it up at the store.. So easy and it really cools off my room and I love the energy feature. If I go out for a few hours, I can put it on energy control..

I purchased this unit to replace an old, noisy, unit for the back portion of my home. This unit was recommended on at least two review websites. Although we haven't had any really hot weather yet, I'm assuming that the unit will perform as described.

I purchased three air conditioners - two frigidaires and a portable SPT. All of them are satisfactory; in fact, I am quite pleased with the fact that installation steps were quite easy to follow. Additionally, the air conditioners are relatively quiet.

AC cools my entire second floor if I leave the bedroom door open. Great buy.

This little window unit pack a powerful punch. It does a great job of cooling a room as designed. My only negative is I wish the unit did a better job of blocking the daylight coming through the vent.
