We have two Fridgidaires, a 5,000 btu and this 8,000. We have the 5,000 in our bedroom and the 8,000 cools the living room, dining room, office, and kitchen - I love the Econ mode when we're out - it can maintain a temp without constantly running all day long

8,000 BTU cool my room perfectly. A small studio cool within 10-15min. Remote very easy to use and I the window kit is appreciated.

Not too shabby. Cools the room well. But is very loud on the high setting. But I can't complain for the price I paid.

We love the eco mode. It really reduces the use, and therefor our electricity bill. The installation was easy, and fast. We love that the remote control tells you the temperature as well. It can be useful to see temperatures on 2 sides of the room to help find the optimal temperature for where we are. Overallt hs is a fantastic product.

first time buying an ac room only 10x12 and this 8000 btu cools it down fast i went with a bigger one then what ur suppose to so u can cool more rooms down if u keep ur door open i would buy again A+++

This unit cools down a 1000 square ft room within 45 mins to an hour. It's also very energy efficient.

We purchased this unit on Fathers Day weekend when a heat wave rolled into the SF Bay Area. THe unit runs great and does a great job at cooling our bedroom. It was easy to install but is definitely a 2 person job because of the weight of this unit. THe remote control is a nice feature as well.

The unit was easy to install & came with everything you needed including the weatherstripping. Easy to operate & I love the remote. The only thing I don't like is that the economy mode comes on @ start up & then you have to manually change it because you can't change the mode with the remote.

AC units come in many varieties. This unit met my expectations as being not too loud and quick to cool the open living room and kitchen. Other models are more tech advanced and even quieter but quite expensive. This model has a good balance based on price.

Did a lot of homework on this and other A/Cs. I narrowed it down to the LG and the Frigidaire. Would have been nice if stores had an LG to look at. It came down to was what was available in stores plus Frigidaire was a well known brand. Checked out different stores for LG's and they were promising us that they will order it and it would be a week to get it in. That wasn't going to help us with the heat wave coming. We went to Best Buy because they had a large supply of Frigidaires. The store price was higher than what the Best Buy website had on it. The store was able to match the Best Buy website, which was way less than the LG equivalent. Installation was a bit difficult because of the way the windows were constructed on our rental house, but we got it in and going. It is installed on the second story window and it cooled the entire second story of our house in about ninety minutes! We love our Frigidaire A/C! We are glad we made this choice! It is now more comfortable to sleep at night or just relaxing!

This unit is good for a large bedroom. Installed easily and the foam pieces on either side assist in keeping the side pieces in place and provide additional insulation when it's hot outside. Not as quiet at night as I hoped.

This ac unit was easy to install and quickly cooled the room.

Works great even on low setting. Bought this unit to cool one room saving energy and money without using the house air conditioner. Minimal noise - as the compresser cycles on and off. Thermostat setting is convenient. However, It does not have a condensation drain which could lead to rust issues later.

I waited to write this review until I had used this FRIGIDAIRE 8000 BTU Air Conditioner everyday for over 1 1/2 Months in this very warm summer. I run it on Cool / High Fan and it has kept my house - 4 rooms on 1st floor - cool and comfortable with the help of one Floor Fan to help circulate the air. As I run it on High Fan, it is noisier than if you run the Fan at a lower speed. I rate it 4 Stars only because of the Fan noise, as it really does blow out nice cool air.

Let me start by saying I'm a professional handyman by trade and I install 40-50 AC's every year for customers. Most of them out there have the side panels that are made cheap and don't seal well when installing them in a window. This is the first AC that has insulated panels that you cut to size and it gives a great seal. It also comes with different clips to use on the bottom of the panels depending on what type if window you have. I usually have to fabricate these for other AC units. I was so impressed when I installed this for a customer, I bought several for my own home. They are quiet, they cool wonderfully, and they look good as well. Best window AC on the market.

This air conditioner was an excellent purchase. Our bedroom is 14x10 and it cools it very quickly. It was very easy to install and having a remote control with it is definitely a plus.

Installed really easily, set up was a little simpler than past similar units that I've bought. Still a little loud, but there's really no helping that. Cools great, hopefully it will last.

perfect size unit, does a great job of cooling the area. Like the temperature control and remote feature. Average noise level for window unit. Easy to install.

I have had this unit running for about a month now, so I can't comment on it's durability. It works good so far, and puts out the cold air as it should. The one thing that I will say about it is that it defaults to "econ" which is pretty useless in my opinion. It basically will just run for a few seconds then shut off on this setting. I have it set on "cool" and "high", which gets the job done. I like the fact that it's not as big and bulky as some of the older units. I was able to get a good seal with the side curtains and insulation provided. It looks good inside and outside in my opinion.
