I bought two of these units, one for my bedroom and one for my office, and am happy overall with the performance for the price. It would be nice to be able to program on/off times in addition to the simple countdown timer included as the only programmable feature.

Noise level a little louder than had hoped, but I think this is due to the small size. I think this is as good as it gets with regard to noise. Other than this, the unit functions perfectly. and the unit's 5000 btu is perfect for my 100 sq ft room. I especially like the low amperage this unit draws.

I bought two units for two bedrooms. Does the job of cooling and remote is convenient. Lightweight and easy to install.

Installed in a small room 144 sq ft. and it works just great. The room doesn't get direct sun so it's cooling ambient temp not fighting against in coming heat. If I had a window with incoming sun it might struggle. For my purposes, I'm very satisfied.

Does a great job for a small bedroom while waiting to get the central air fixed. Would definitely recommend it.

I payed around $160 for this AC, which is comparable to other units on the market. Of note is that it has a pretty good EER - energy efficiency rating. That being said, it's best for small rooms, and not all that powerful. It works well for what I need, but I do feel it should be $20 cheaper or so.

Have 2 of them and all work great. Both came with the wrong mounting kits. Useless to use, also no screws in the kit. I got a 15K unit a month before and it was ok. I did not need the mounting kits as I do not like the plastic panels. Used building foam insulation to make my fillers. Works great.

Great air conditioner. easy install. has built-in thermostat and temperature control (a huge bonus).

I returned it when I found out I had to drill holes in my new Window frame to secure it.

This air conditioner works exactly how I wanted, just for a small space. Great price.

This is my second purchase of the same unit. The 1st one was for my daughter's small bedroom & it cooled the room quickly. The 2nd one I bought was for my bedroom that was a little bigger. Although it cools it but it doesn't get as cold. I still love it!

I purchased a 6,000 BTU model of this air conditioner a couple of years ago. It works great...cools quickly and is very energy efficient, but a bit louder than I'd prefer. When I went to purchase one this year, Consumer Reports recommended this model, as being consiiderably quieter than the 6,000 BTU version. I regret the purchase, as it has not fulfilled my needs. I would not recommend this model unless you're going to cool one small room (i.e. bedroom, office, etc.). I needed it to cool off two rooms and a small bathroom and it's just not doing the job.

It's probably not any noisier than any other A/C, but the only problem I really have with it is just our problem: not knowing the best temp to set it for at night, since we need it cool to sleep well, but then it's too cold in the early morning! It would be great if it would change its own temp during the night to reflect our personal needs... just dreaming...

Just a solid little unit; does its job at a fair price. We were very grateful to have purchased it during a heat wave. Cools our moderate sized 200 sq ft bedroom quickly. Can't speak to how loud it is; my wife and I are able to sleep with it running in its economy mode at night (unit turns on for about a minute every 10 minutes once the room has cooled down).
