Good, but loud for the bedroom

Posted .Hey Goaliegirl, thank you for your recent purchase. The Econ mode, or Energy Saver mode, is a setting that works similar to central AC. The room air conditioner will turn off once the set temp is reached; the fan then cycles on (for 20 sec.) every 10 min to sample the air temp. If the room temp is above the set temp, the compressor will turn back on. Since the room air conditioner is not running at all times, this setting will help save energy while ensuring the room temperature stays at the set temperature. Does not cool quickly

I thought that the slightly larger 6,000 BTU unit would work better, but does not. I also do not like that it does not default to the cool setting when it is turned on. The remote is a nice feature and does work very well and is very user friendly.

I have the old one in another room and it's a 5000 btu as new one is at 6000 btu and the same size room but not as cool. Hate to see what the 5000 btu in the same model would have done.
