the freezer works well. i like this size. the footprint is very close to the model below it but you get enough extra storage to make the price difference worth it. there are only 2 complaints: 1. there could be more trays across the top--it only came with one 2. the temperature dial is right by the floor and my curious toddler has learned how to turn it off. Neither of these are major issues. If you are looking for a freezer I would recommend just buying the one with the best price. I've heard that only a couple of companies actually make freezers now and a lot of brands just put their name on them. If you look at the pictures of different brands that are the same size, they look basically the same and have the temperature control in the same place--thus, they are probably the same freezer.

Very nice unit. Quiet, roomy for its size but compact - doesn't take up alot of the garage. Installed a non-GFCI circuit, you don't want this on a GFCI, and you can hardly hear it run. Cooled down rather quickly. The sliding, hanging baskets are great. The product description said one basket, so imagine my surprise and joy to find two in my unit. An interior light would be nice, but not having one doesn't take away from this. What does take away a little is that this is not "Frost-Free". Definitely not looking foward to defrosting...that is the only reason why I didn't give it five stars. The store price matched a local competitor, and after an $80.00 Reward Zone certificate - well, it wasn't free but sure felt like it for what I did pay. If you're in the market for a smaller chest freezer, I recommend this unit.

So far, so good. Nice size for small family. Maybe too much. I just needed it for the overflow for my small refrigerator. It is in my basement where I had plenty of room for it. Quiet. I did notice some frost but not overly concerned about it. Nice...simply.

I bought this chest freezer in May of 2012 and the model that was shipped to me is FFC0723DW. It is still a Frigidaire 7.2 cubic feet freezer, but not the same as listed and pictured on Bestbuy's webpage. The only significant difference from what is pictured is the temp control is on the left back side of the freezer; not the front as pictured on the webpage. It would be nice to have the controls in the front, but I guess it prevents kids from playing with the dial. Overall the freezer works fine and is a nice compact size that is roomy enough for my needs. The top lid doesnt seem as strudy as the old chest freezer that it replaced, but the low price of the freezer justifies that. As suggested by another reviewer, I bought 3 plastic milk crates that I use to organize and stack my frozen foods. It helps tremendously with organizing everything.

Purchased this freezer for my basement to hold extra food for the family and meats. I wasn't sure if i needed a larger freezer, but having it in my storage room, I'm very happy with the size and space! It's currently holding close to 100lbs of meat and some frozen pizzas. I'd recommend putting little boxes inside of it to use as extra storage organizers as it only comes with a single rack. I've had it in place for over a month now and would definitely recommend it to others.

I purchased this freezer to give myself more storage because the freezer on the fridge is too small. Being in an apartment it is the perfect size because it does not take up a lot of room. I looked at the 5 cu.ft. but I'm glad I went with the 7 because I now have more storage to work with.

I just got my freezer this month. It is excellent so far, keeps things very cold. For all those who are on the edge about buying this appliance, note that the sticker on the side says" "Made in the USA". Mine also shipped with two freezer baskets instead of one. (They must have listened to your complaints.) I measured the temp around the freezer, the bottom layer stays the coldest. The freezer baskets are slightly warmer. I have the thermostat set on just over midpoint. Temps are -5 degrees F. I have mine stuffed with frozen tomatoes from this years organic crop. They taste great in pastas etc even after thawed, much better than canned. So far so good. Too big for kitchen, lives in basement.

Only had this for a few weeks but it works well. Could use an extra basket inside, but good for the price.

This freezer is exactly what we were looking for. It is VERY spacious, energy efficient (not Energy Star tough), and worth every penny. As others mentioned, an extra basket or two would have warranted a 5 for Features. I purchased this even though Consumer reports did not "Recommend" it. In my opinion, this freezer is comparable - maybe even better - than those that were rated higher. Don't hesitate to purchase!

It's a great size, has two baskets. Went to my local best buy to pick up, easy and good. I shopped around alot to get the best price and best one. Alot of other stores have better prices but charge you $50-75 for deliver, and don't offer in store pick up.

We've had absolutely no problems whatsoever with this freezer. It runs quiet, but definitely doesn't run all the time. Great product. The only thing *we* need to do is figure out how to better arrange what we put into the freezer. And with 3 young (and growing fast) kiddos, the little freezer in the side of the fridge just didn't cut it anymore. This little 7.2 is plenty big enough, but not so big that the food gets old and/or freezer burned before we dig down far enough to remember we have it.

I got the freezer and turned it on to medium temperature. Everything is rock hard, so I had to turn it down a little. It cools great and takes only $30 a year to run.

It has as much room as advertised. It keeps things cold.

This little chest freezer is the right size and has the features I was looking for. However, the Best Buy website says this is an Energy Star appliance but I was not able to find any information about this on the freezer or the accompanying paperwork.

Was worried about size, but the freezer will accomodate 4 processed white tail. (About 130 pounds of meat) with a bit of room to spare. Small footprint in garage makes wife happy, too.

We use this to freeze meals that we make in advance as well as my wife's breastmilk. It does a great job. It's got tons of space inside.

The freezer is solidly built, fairly good looking, and most importantly it is good at keeping food frozen until you want to eat it. If you want more space to keep things frozen and you're ok with the chest freezer setup (ie it isn't always easy to get to the things on the bottom) this is a good choice. It's more energy efficient than an older freezer and for the price, I would definitely recommend it.

This unit is quiet and energy efficient. It saves us trips to the store. We stock up on food up during sales, saving money. The installers did a good job and took away the packaging. Good experience.

Love my new 7.2 chest freezer. Only problem is that these should include at least 2 baskets instead of 1. Seems $14+ is a lot for a small basket for this freezer. Did check other places for a basket, but nothing is as nice as the one that came with it. Charge me an additional amt, and add an extra basket or 2. Outside of that small problem, I love this freezer. Working on filling it up. We are a couple who love to cook, so with this new freezer we can purchase items at good rates at Costco etc and always have something to choose from from my own chest freezer.
