It's quite. Cools down the great room faster than I expected.

This is much nicer than any other air conditioner I have owned of this design (portable, venting out through a hose). It replaced an 8000 BTU Friedrich portable that vented through a hose. I like the sleek look and quiet operation. My only quibble is that I find it hard to believe that it is really producing 14,000 BTUs. Based on my measurements, I should only need 13,000 BTUs. It's definitely doing a better job (and more quietly) than the 8000 BTU machine, but if it were really 14,000 BTUs, I think I would have less trouble cooling the room on warm days. Still, I would recommend this machine.

Cost competitive, elegant appearance, silent running, easy to move around the home from kitchen to family room to bedrooms to front living rooms. Friends marvel at its many wonderful attributes.

Easy to setup and install. It does a good job cooling

Used for about 4 weeks with temps in 80s and mid 90s, a decent investment for cooling an area the size of a living room, but far from 700 sq ft advertised. Noise level is no more than a oscillating fan. Installation kit and instructions are a little sketchy. Has added about $55 to electric bill running about 10 hours a day.

Frigidaire - 700 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner - Black has the cooling power for most size living room space. The 14,000 BTU's covers my area comfortably during our 80 degree plus summer weather.

Great unit for the price. cools my living room off well. Would be good for a small apt but won't cool my kitchen and living room both in just a standard trailer. Not complaining we just spend more time in the living room during hot days.

The unit works fine, it’s the window kit that falls short here. The tubing has to clip into the plastic piece that goes into the window, and those clips are rather weak. I preferred the old slide and lock system.

We bought this model for our 550 square foot apartment and it does a great of cooling down most all our apartment when we leave the doors open. I love that it has a fan setting too. It unfortunately doesn’t have a pan so we took the draining tube and use an empty water jug and have it taped to that so we can just empty it when needed instead of needing to deal with a pan underneath it and having it spill. We also do have to empty it frequently because we live in the northwest and it’s pretty muggy and humid in the summer, but it does and excellent job of keeping the house dry. I love it!

This AC unit is great . Easy to install and very efficient. I have a 2 bedroom condo , I installed the unit in my living room and it did a great job cooling my entire place

Not a replacement for central air. With that said. We're using this unit to cool a fairly large space. A kitchen, office, loft area, and two staircases leading to exits. If your situation is similar, and especially when the humidity is very high. I would recommend pairing this unit with a dehumidifier, and/or at least couple of fans, or a completely evaporative unit. Recently the temperatures reached the mid 90s, and it was working hard to keep up, but without it the apartment would have been unbearable. Well worth it so far, but real quality requires longevity also. Fingers crossed!

We bought this for my sister's studio apartment and she's quite pleased on it's performance. It's not as cold as the window type as expected but it works very good This will be a best alternative for a place who can't have a window or wall type ac.

This was our first portable AC unit and was purchased after much research. Our house is centrally air-conditioned, but one upstairs bedroom just wasn't cooling properly. So, I picked up the last unit at our local Best Buy. I am very pleased with it! It was super-easy to assemble. The exhaust hose is expandable, which I liked. I had to cut a bit of length off the window panel, but the plastic was very easy to saw through. It cools beautifully, and the 3-way fan is a very useful feature. This unit was over $500, but well-worth it.

This is a very nice unit. It's well designed and easy to install. The output could be better but this style of AC is not as efficient as the window units. This is our second AC of this type. The other is another brand that is very loud and inefficient.

Dark matches Home perfectly. Cools my entire top floor. Makes my dogs super comfortable too. I set It and forget it can’t even notice it running

Works great, blows cold and is very quiet. Just waiting now to see the damage from my electric bill. I am using it for a larger area

This was an additional to another portable unit I have to cool a larger area. Much quieter than the other. It's cooling 644 sq ft with issue.

In all honesty, I love the air conditioner, but on really hot days, like 90 degrees, it would cool less than expected. The heat overpowers the air conditioner. But, on a regular day, the AC cools down plenty of my house!

I bought this model to replace another portable unit that finally broke down after several years. the first night I installed and turned it on I felt an immediate difference. It cools down the room extremely fast and cold. Excellent unit.

Being older my son came and installed it quite easily in my sliding window. We fired it up and it works very well. I live in a 4 room apt. We had a few quite warm days and my living room was nice and cool and my bedroom was a couple of degrees warmer. haven't had to clean the filters as yet but it looks to be quite easy. I haven't needed to, so I have not run it in "dry" mode so I haven't had to empty the drip tray. This unit is all I could want and am very happy with it. I therefore recommend it to all.
