This thing gets my apartment (~700 sq ft) really cool on hot days (> 90 degrees) and evens sometimes makes use a blanket on those nights. Using small fan really augments the cool output as well. Inclusion of the window kit helps alleviate install anxiety since it wasn't explicitly mentioned on the product description. Now the minuses. This thing is loud; just using the fan mode within the room makes me want to put it in a room I am not normally in. Also, energy consumption isn't as great if you are at home all day (though it may actually be better than a window unit anyway). Despite these gripes, I don't regret this purchase. It has made life a lot better since it is much cooler than my in unit AC.

Covers a good deal of area while keeping a room real cold. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great unit. Simple to use and hook up. Only complaint is exhaust hose doesn't stay connected that great.

This room air conditioner does a great job, and very quietly! Oscillating vent spreads cool air around the room. Automatic settings to pre-cool before you come home on a hot day. Easy to dismantle when not needed. Highly recommend!

Set-Up my Fridgidaire 14K portable A/C last night. Very easy to install and get running. Seems to work, cooled a large room. So Far...So Good

The unit cools a large room. Not freezing cold, but comfortable cool. Very easy to set up and operate. Glad I bought the bigger unit.

This is a great unit! Cools off my 600 square foot room quick!

It was easy to install.Works great,the room become cold very fast.The only thinks-it's not quite,but we expected it for 14,000 BTU

We are overall satisfied with this unit. Our two biggest complaints are the exhaust hose is terrible to install. Should be as simple as snapping the two pieces together. Instead you have to really pry at it to get it through the threads. The plug cord could be longer considering this is a portable. Overall good product

The big issue for the product is to set up the outlet. it must be vented through a window or wall access point and may take some extensive modifications. Once that is complete the Unit so far has performed above expectations for the size and BTU rating. It will cool down a 750 SQ FT. apartment in about 15 to 20 minutes then circulate the air as needed depending on the Temp of the room.

Bought it 1 month ago to cool the main floor to our house. Easy to install, and cools the space just as I had hoped. I would recommend this unit.

We had a LG portable A/C which was decent however, it just stopped working. I like this one so much better. It's much more quiet and cools faster. Overall very pleased with it.

This Frigidaire - 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner has really taken the edge off the heat in our home. We wished it were lighter for mobility and had a little more cooling power, but we are thankful for what it gives us for comfort, being seniors and with a disability. We did order a different brand via Amazon, it came with a broken shell case, we returned it and ended up spending double the cost, to get this one.

The unit works pretty good. It will definately cool a room. Con: The assembly of the hose and window piece. The unit does make noise. However, the noise doesnt bother me. When your room is 100 + degrees the main concern is keeping cool. The price is ok. Supply and demand. You definately want to go with 1400 btu and above. Its been about a month now since I purchased the unit and its working pretty well. I recommend it.

Our A/C went out in Texas during the summer, and we bought this unit. It cools a large room well. The remote is nice also. My one complaint would be the venting that directs the air in only one direction - up. It would be nice to be able to point it at the bed on hot nights. In the end though it will cool a master bedroom effectively.

I spent a lot of time looking through reviews of the various portable air conditioners that was available through Best Buy before I made my purchase. This unit had so many highly rated reviews, and was also one of the bigger a/c systems that I was looking at, so I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. I have it placed in my family room where I've been using it for about a month continuously now, and it has yet to let me down! It works like a dream. I love the timer feature and also enjoy the fact that it has a remote so I can control the system from across the room.

A small compact unit, but for its size, is more than I expected from a portable unit
