Good for cooling room, would like longer tube from machine to window

I bought this portable AC in the middle of the summer and It did an amazing job cooling the living room. Highly recommend this item if you can afford it.

A little loud .cools and maintains a medium size room room very good

Unit mentions up to 700 sq ft 14000 BTU but doesn't really cool the area. You can only feel cold air if just stand front of it otherwise room temperature does not get anywhere close where you feel cooling. It may work for really small room. Like a kids room. I am not satisfied with its performance.

Very good ac. Keeps my bedroom pretty cool. Wish the fan would oscillate.

We have a large master bedroom. To put into perspective, our master bedroom is larger than our old 1-bedroom apartment. This air conditioner does a good job at cooling the room down, but it's pretty loud. That's my only gripe!

Our AC needed to be replaced and this beast kept my whole downstairs cool. Live in a 2,500 square foot home.

Once you get the window vent in, it is not that convenient to move it from room to room. Select your ideal spot so you don't have to move it. It cools fine, but it is a little noisy for my liking. I have it in my living room and it makes it difficult to hear the tv.

This A/C works great in my home especially when I just need to cool off one area and don't need to turn on the central a/c.

It's such an easy portable ac to use and very easy.

First of all, I suspect that there was water inside the unit when it was shipped, because the bottom of the box was missing and the sides near the bottom had been wet (I think the shipper strapped it together for delivery). I guess it could have been placed in a wet spot but I doubt it. Here's why: water leaks from inside the unit even though it is set on cool only. Perhaps during testing the accumulated water was never evacuated. Just a guess. Anyway, the unit did work, but was simply not strong enough to cool the area we sought to cool. It may be okay for a small interior room, but I think 700 sq ft is a stretch. Regardless, if you have wood floors, I would place the unit on some kind of tray to prevent damage. Under the right circumstances I would recommend this item. Just not for everyone. The "yes" indicated below is a qualified "yes."

This air conditioner, is the best it gets my room so cold. It is perfect for hot days and doesn't use a lot of energy.

Very efficient portable air conditioner. I was pleasantly surprised to see how fast it was cooling the room.

Use in living room with high ceilings. Does a wonderful job cooling afternoon heat. Highly recommend.

Still not sure why there is water drainage in the cool mode. Had to hook a hose to the back to catch water from stopper as it was dripping. Will call Frigidaiare again to ask about this.Only supposed to have to use a drain hose in the dry dehumidifier mood not the cool or auto mode.
