This is a 8000 BTU air conditioner. This cools a medium sized room.

I bought this AC unit to cool my moderately large bedroom. The air conditioner is very capable, cooling the large room well and in a fairly short amount of time. My electric bill has dropped significantly since I replaced my older AC unit with this one. The unit complies with new Energy Star requirements which means that while it is very good on the wallet, the unit tries to shut off automatically when it hits it's thermostat setting. I like my room cold at night, and am disturbed by the AC cycling on and off so I override the auto-off feature. Even so, the unit is very efficient. I would recommend this AC unit for both it's cooling ability and it's efficiency.

I bought this to replace a smaller one. I am pleased with my purchase. It is relatively quiet and cools my bedroom of 320 sq ft. I would definitely recommend this unit.

The AC unit keeps my room nice and cold during the hot summer months. The AC unit offers a remote that I truly enjoy using from my bed. But unfortunately this AC unit is very loud and to minimize the sale I keep the speed on low to medium .

I have three of these units and they are great. When the room gets down to temp the unit will shut down and then wake periodically to see if more cooling is needed. I use one of them in a fairly large room on the second floor and it does a great job. The only downside is the noise but I think that is true of all window and portable a/c units so I didn't reduce the number of stars for this. At least with this one, it will shut down and be perfectly quiet if it is not needed. Also, I had a problem with one of the units I bought and I can't say enough about the support and warranty from Fridgedaire. Personally, I would not buy any other brand.

We have an older version of this unit (same model) that has worked awesome for several years. This newer unit is no exception. The built In thermostat makes this perfect for overnight cooling. Both the AC and the fan turn on and off automatically. Cooling capacity is awesome!

I had looked through the appliances on my own and found some A/C units that weren't what I was looking for and I was in my way out. John was helping other customers and quickly directed me to my great air conditioner! I love it's features and it was easy to install!
