    This will work well for a 10k or 12k btu window unit, but this set does not expand wide enough for a more rectangular 8k btu unit. I was afraid of this, but the good price was worth the risk. I will shelve this set for later use on my larger units. Meanwhile, I think I found the right ones from another source to repair my two Frigidaires. A DIY website emphatically stressed to obtain the make and model number to seek out the proper set from same manufacturer of the unit. I have two more GE's to repair, as well; and this will be a summer long work-in-progress undertaking. Do your homework before ordering.

    I have two frigidaire air conditioners (two different models) and this part did not fit either model. This product is a scam. Do not make the same mistake I made and buy this product
