Unlike another review, I would not rate this camera as great for a beginner, because a beginner will not know enough about enthusiast photography to make the best of this amazing little camera. This is an ENTHUSIAST camera for someone who wants a great deal of flexibility in a compact and efficient package. Here's what's great on this camera. The LENS is fantastic. Yes, it is not interchangeable, but for most situations you will not even think about wanting more lens. It goes from a nice wide angle to a reasonably long zoom. And the lens is capable of producing very crisp detail. Without too much exaggeration, one might say that this lens is Leica-like, which is a huge compliment. Next is the incredible viewfinder. You are going to LOVE this viewfinder. It's way better than the comparable Sony viewfinder on the A5000. Way better!! You will also appreciate the movable LCD display so that you can shoot high or low shots with ease. Finally, the shooting modes and advanced filters are built in to make this a really fun and exciting camera to use. For the money, this is one excellent and fine example of an enthusiast camera.

I still have my Fuji X10, the X30 although larger is much more fun to use considering the EVF and tilt LCD. The image quality meets my needs and of course the Fuji colors are amazing.
