The G-Technology Armor ATD 5Tb External Hard Drive is the best, dollar-for-dollar drive that you can get. This is because, A) the full drive is protected any type of dropping damage due to it's thick, rubber case. B) Simple to use, as in plug and play. C) 3.1 Generation USB connections, and it will download all information FAST!. G-Technology might be a bit more expensive, but I value the rugged protection as a big plus, verses all other external hard drives.

I have a lot of hard drives because my job... i make video and edit photos, i save it in this kind of HD ... this one has something special, its USB c so is perfect for my mac, and its bulk, so if you are looking for something slim this is not for you but its super firm, heavy duty! I trust my material in this HD

This external hard drive is too bulky for daily usage. If you are constantly in outdoor environment, then this probably is perfect for you.

I use this external hard drive to store my wildlife photography photos and videos. This device is very portable and rugged. The USB C interface is very fast.

Love the 5TB capacity so I can stop using multiple smaller capacity external hard drives. All my pictures , documents and music all on one hard drive. I’m a photographer and videographer and I have way too many files that overfill my computers hard drive. Now I just plug and go and transfer files over to the new 5TB hard drive with pure ease. Best Buy was great and delivered it quickly.

G-Tech has been my go to hard drive company for many years with my apple computers. Zero issue and this one in particular is nice with the surrounding (Which they stole that idea from other companies who were already doing this) But super good size drive at 5tb for loading video and high resolution images onto while being portable.

This hard drive works great. Very durable and accurate to the advertising. The only thing is I had to reformat the drive to work completely on my windows machine. The computer recognize it just fine and was able to read/write to it with no issue. The only issue was with my back up software not being able to write some files due to the format.

Buy the drive, you can’t go wrong, but plan to throw away the usb-c cable it comes with as soon as you pull it out of the box. The complaints on here about the loose connection are due to the cable, not the drive.

What I love about it is that it is a hard drive that I don’t need to connect to a socket just to my computer. It also has a protective casing around it. Easy to use. Connect to a cpu and or lap top and that’s it. I brought 3 of them.

These are the most durable portable hard drives available. Take them anywhere - they can handle the wear and tear and accidental tumbles.

I am still in doubt because sometimes my computer does not detect it, although perhaps it is because of my computer.

I needed an external hard drive for all my downloads. I have transferred these downloads and still have more than enough space for future downloads.

The 5TB capacity is great! I don't need to carry multiple hard drives around. Excellent to archive videos and photos.

I had been looking for a more rugged drive for my archive backups and this one fit the bill. Well worth the price. Especially liked the cover over the the USB connection.
