Easy to use and small enough to carry in computer case

I got this to extend the storage capacity of everyone in my house. I connected it to a new router and it runs fine. I've partitioned it so that both Windows and OS users can store around 500 GB on it. It's behaving well. I've personally backed up around 20 GB of work files now. This product lost a star because the default format didn't support storing files over 4GB in size. Reformatting fixed the issue.

I actually bought two of these on sale. If you are not a Mac owner or not interested in ever using it on Mac, you will have to reformat the drive for Windows base machines. It is pretty compact and light. It has a nice enclosure which seems very durable. Time will tell how long it will hold up.

This drive highlights are the transfer speed and shock resistant. I use these all the time when travelling with NBC crew on sites and dropped some more than once. It is the ideal product and price for such product, highly recommend.

I purchased this for one of my kids who needed to save various papers and other work during college. It has worked well for her with 1 TB and after lots of usage she still has plenty of space. I would recommend for anyone who wants/needs to create space on their laptop or desktop computer.

Takes the reliability and power of G-technology and puts it into the slimmest possible container. Hard to believe it holds a full 1TB considering its size, which is about half the thickness and weight of its competitors.

There is no way to know if this is a good drive until it has lasted for several years and worked flawlessly. Most external drives last about five years. But based on its user ratings it looks like it is pretty reliable. Set up was elementary.

G-Tehcnology mobile drives are more expensive than Western Digital models, but that's because they actually work longer than a couple of months! I bought this for time machine backup for a laptop.

I need a hard drive for work to upload a 130,000 page document. Other hard drives were taking forever. I purchased this hard drive and the document was uploaded quickly. This one gave us enough space to fit servral large documents without loading issues.

very fast with high capacity. the newer USB-C adapter works easily with my MacPro.

I originally used this for my laptop that was low on memory. It is great to use and easy to use. I now use it for a DVR for the AirTV by Sling. If you want a good external hard drive for the money, this one is it.

I purchased this drive because it is not one of the slow 5400 RPM drives that are typical in this form factor. Used for evening memory card dumps while on a production trip for a conference. It delivered.

This unit was actually purchased for my goddaughter so that she could have a new unit to use for a new computer. So far, it is working perfectly and is a good size if your need to carry it with you.

Just plug it in and it works great with a MacBook Air. I'm new to the world of Macs, so I wasn't sure it would work. No trouble for multiple user profiles.
