I work in the world of professional video, and we mostly buy G-Technology drives because of the very low failure rate we experience with them. From back up drives, to actual drives that are physically on-set, we rely on drives, including this exact one, where video files that are written onto SDCards are immediately copied on to this drive, and sent back to us for editing. I find that G-tech uses the best chipsets internally for their products, where you cannot afford to have a file fail in copying over due to an error. Especially on single very large drives. Very recommended for professional use!

Good portable drive. This is not an SSD (solid state drive) but it’s still pretty good being portable. It last me through a year of collage carrying it with me everyday. It’s nice for the new MacBook to have a usbc drive. It dose also come with a normal usb cable in the box.

This is an excellent external drive. Before Covid, I was a mobile warrior and therefore base everything on weight, size, and ease of use. This addresses all of those easily. The price point was also comfortable. Highly recommend.

My old Portable Hard Drive quit working after 5 years and I replaced it with this G-Drive mobile. Fits well into USB port and is compact enough that it is not in the way. I have had this brand before and was very satisfied with the performance.

The G-tech G-Drive falls perfectly in the middle of a graph of price and function. You get what you are paying for, but more affordably than other, possibly more reliable storage devices. The G-Drive hasn't failed me yet. Feels brand new, and durable as well.

I really like this g-drive. I bought one a couple of years ago and needed a new one. This one has more storage and should last a long time. It's easy to use and a great place to store your memories.

I wanted to keep all my photos and videos but not use up all my computer storage and didn’t want to pay for iCloud forever so I bought this. Best thing ever! Now I record as many moments as I want cause I know I have the space fore it. I use it to back up my MacBook Pro at the same time. So when I think it’s time to back up the whole computer, done or when I just want to add extra photos Of important files to a safe place its done

My daughter loves that she can play her games with all of the downloads stored on the drive and it allows the computer memory to be freed up to not bog down the speed and performance. She says it works smoothly and easily.

I use this to back up my design files since theyre typically huge and a great way to have an extra protection. I also use this when I go on print jobs to transfer large files while I'm on site on press.

I absolutely love this external drive. Works perfectly with my MacBook Pro. I no longer run out of storage space on my MacBook and it also makes it run a little faster. Would definitely recommend.

We use this drive with our Mac and we love it. We are able to keep space free on our computer and transfer files when needed. Easy to use and a nice slim compact look makes this a great buy

Very stylish looking, thin and light and goes nicely with silver Apple devices. No issues with detection and the transfer speed is plenty fast as well. Just what I needed.

I've had this external drive since RDR2 came out specifically because I needed more space in my system. The drive has worked well and without glitch so far the last two months.

Works really well with 2016 MacBook and 2018 MacBook Pro. Speeds significantly faster than USB 3.0 externals we own. And the USB-C cord is a huge plus!
