It works great with Pro Tools! It hasn't crashed in any of my sessions which is very important in audio engineering! It's also super fast when transfering data! The best thing is that it's poratable, 7200rpm, Thunderbolt & Usb 3.0 bussed powered so no power adaptors to the wall needed! It also comes supplied with Thunderbolt & Usb 3.0 cables. Great buy!!!

Bought due to history with G-Technology drives. Was looking for external drive for my new Mac Pro (i.e. trash can). Drive seems to be faster through my Thuderbolt port. Would prefer a SSD vs. 7200 RPM drive, but would recommend this until something comes available. Drive was a little pricey, but overall a good value. A SSD with Thundrbolt2 would be perfect.

I am enjoying having this external drive to go along with my MacBook Air. I keep all of my iTunes library, Photos library and many archived personal files on it. The lightning connector cord allows for super fast speed. The only thing negative I can say is that it has a larger draw on my computer's battery than the USB drive I used previously.

It's very fast at transferring data with thunderbolt on my Mac. Love the time machine feature and very portable drive.

This was on sale. I'm a Mac user. It transfers files faster then my older drive dose and the size is great for travel

I bought this as a precautionary measure due to recently having an internal hard drive failure. I use it constantly and the speed of the Thunderbolt is incredible and very time saving. I do a lot of graphics design and this bad boy keeps all of my tasks nice and snappy. It is very well made and looks very slick next to my Macbook Pro. Highly Recommended!

Small but powerful drive. Works fast and will fit in my purse.

Great drive. I purchased it after having less than 10 GBs on my 500GB Macbook Pro hard drive. This will hold me over for a while. There's a light that stays on the whole time, two inputs (one usb and one thunderbolt), and a color that matches my mac. Very compact also! If it made me coffee, I would marry it.

It's fast and and external, so I know my Time Machine backups are safe. I've been directly connecting it to my Mac using the Thunderbolt cable that came with it, but I plan on purchasing an Airport Extreme router and plugging it in to it for network backups and file access within my network.

It comes with the Thunderbolt and USB 3 cable. I use it for video editing and it works great. G-Drives are wonderfully reliable and very fast.

Purchased this item to go along with a MacBook Pro for my son for college. Will be perfect for what he needs to keep backups and to archive class content from semester to semester.

This Hard Drive feels and runs rather nicely with the Thunder bolt connection it doesn’t take very long to back my fusion drive so far I’m very happy!

Don't waste your money on any other drive. The Thunderbolt port combined with the 7200 rpm makes this portable drive the best one on the market.

needed this drive for thunderbolt Mac laptops out on video shoots... thunderbolt connectors to daisy chain other drives when only one thunderbolt port is available. Very dependable drives, like most G-Drives. They are expensive, but if you have data you really can't afford to loose, G-Drive is where you go.

I love this drive! It is so fast. Perfect for storing pictures and video. I am using it with a MacBook Pro and I have placed my photos library on this external drive. It's so fast that I can't tell the difference between the flash storage from the computer or the drive. I plan to buy another one just like it for video.
