lots of space, doesnt charge macbook pro 15

Simple and effective HD

Outstanding Drive

This is my second G-Technology drive. The first one lasted 6 years. It performed spectacularly. It bought a new iMac and it completely restored all it contained to my new hard drive. As far as getting a new back up drive, I never considered any other brand. G-Tech is the best.

Good Back up drive

It is formatted to work with Mac and immediately and easily set up with time capsule ( the Apple backup system). I have had it for a couple of months and so far it is backing up my iMac quickly and quietly with no issues. For most regular users… Those of us needing to back up normal day-to-day documents, photos, videos, etc. this is a great option. I see no need for the much more expensive thunderbolt version for an average data user. Save your money, go with this one.

I love this drive.

Unfortunately are shooting all exteriors in the sweltering Sacramento triple digit heat. This drive performed superbly and we transferred all our footage back and forth between our editor and the set with no hiccups. This is an amazing drive and excellent price.

Very quiet operation and very good value for the price per TB. Appearance fits in well in any computer setting. Bought a second one, even though not needed at this time.

I love that the silver matches both my iMac and MacBook Pro. And with MacBook Pro, it acts as a charger while plugged in for storage so I don't need to used both USB ports.

I do a lot of pictures, videos, and music for local Rock & Metal scene is SoCal. This product has been able to store a lot of material on it, while freeing up tons of space on my computer. If you need a lot storage for your work, hobbies, music, etc; get this product. You'll be thankful you did.

Heavy duty drive.

Heavy metal casing and looks great. I thought it would be much smaller and lighter, bigger and much heavier than I expected. I would definitely recommend this hard drive

Great for having your Macs’ back

It would work for a week or two before failing. After the 3rd time I went searching for a drive created with the Mac in mind. USB-C connected directly to my MacBook and no problems with Time Machine failing to backup since. Nice enclosure, BTW, reformatted the 5tb seagate drive and no problems working with my Windows PC.
