Good Even for Older Mac

I should have looking into this more before I bought this, but since this is the USB C version, I had us USB 3.0 connection. Had I got the thunderbolt 3 version I could us the apple connector that converts to thunderbolt 2. But either way its still fast and works great for backup and storage.

Great External storage

My work uses this brand to edit video and audio from which led me to buy this one for my computer. I'm not super fond of the USB-C cable it came with so I switched it with a different one that seems to stay in better. The transfer speeds are awesome and super easy to edit video with. It doesn't power a computer though which is fine. I love it and it is definitely the first of many.

Good drive but—-

Nice backup external hard drive

Great drive.

I settled for this as it was the highest transfer speed available at the time, it also looks a lot better than the cheaper drives. I originally was using a western digital usb2.0 drive for backup. It took 3 to 4 hours to backup. With this new drive I am cutting it to 45 min. Great and would recommend.

This thing is a beast. I power my Mac Book Pro with it, therefore eliminating the long white power cord. It’s super fast, reliable and it looks cool. I’m only buying these drives for all of my work. It’s very important for me to have a reliable drive as I deal with clients.

Music hard drive

This drive is fast and I use it for music while at weddings, graduations, and all other events. I DJ on the side and this drive hasn’t failed me yet. I’m happy enough with it that I bought a second one and plan to add another dj to the team

Great drive for backup

I bought this drive to replace an Apple Airport Time Capsule that I used for backups. I have found its USB-C connection to give much better performance than Ethernet. It is quiet, and works very well with Apple's Time Machine.
