It is super thin, even thinner than my MacBook Air. It is also compatible with PC and Mac interchangeably. If it crashes it can be restored without sending it to the manufacturer, It costs a bit more than others but ask your self what is the value of your data.

Extra storage for Dish Network DVR

Expedite Time Machine

Connect this drive to your USB 3.0 enabled Mac and follow the Time Machine prompting. Much faster than running Time Machine through the Airport. Great portable drive or store it in your fireproof safe. And besides, it looks Mac-tastic!

Great backup solution

It's a nice size to carry anywhere - easily fits in my MacBook Pro bag's pocket. The USB 3.0 speed works well with the latest Macs, but still works fine at USB 2 speeds with older Macs. I do miss a FireWire connection for use with older Macs, and the price is a little high, but it is still an external drive worth getting. It is the brand I recommend to friends, and I really like being able to walk into a Best Buy and just pick one up.

this product does its job!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ive done some research on this and buffalo hds and wd and i find this appealing for its esthetic design and fast transfer rate with usb 3.0 i love using this with my mac and media player to stream my videos and no lag at all because its fast. The only bump i have against this product is the price but then again you get what you pay for
