Great movie. Excellent picture. we had a good time watching this movie.

I have always thought that this was a great sci-fi comedy and when I heard that this was going to be released as a 20th Anniversary Steelbook I had to pre-order it at Best Buy. This steelbook edition does not come with a digital code... not that this is a deal breaker for me I just thought I would pass it on to other readers.

This was one of our favorite films when we first saw it. We bought the DVD version to replace the VHS version we already owned. Picture quality is (of course) much better on DVD. This is both a really cute light hearted parody of Star Trek (and associated fandom) and a well done film in its own right.. If you've never seen this or just want to see it again, I hghly recommend it.

Great spoof of star trek. Great cast and very funny.

This is a fun film. I loved it when I saw it on cable and put off buying it for some unknown reason. I found the Blu-ray at a great price and was delighted. Put outer space and Tim Allen together and you get fun. This movie is a mix of Star Trek and slap stick along with funny dialogue and fun characters. I recommend this Blu-ray.?

Not only did it keep my grands quiet and still for two hours but they also loved the movie.

One of my all time favorite guilty (and just general) pleasure films finally gets the steelbook treatment. The colors are bright and vibrant; so fun, just like the movie itself. I only wish it had come with a digital copy, but I'm so happy to have one of my favorites in the best package possible.

A movie like Galaxy Quest manages to poke fun at a wide range of people but still be lovable and sympathetic at the same time. Ultimately, though, Galaxy Quest works not just as a parody film, It works as a basic space adventure as well. Strip away all the jokes, gags and silliness, and you still have an exciting film about a rag-tag group of explorers fighting for justice in the galaxy.

It's a laughable farce; it's a loving homage: it's a fromage! Delightfully cheesy. Galaxy Quest is a joyous celebration, of sci-fi TV, yes, but in the end it sings the praises of fandom: while it seems to poke fun, in the end the "rabid" fans save the day! If you are even mildly interested, give Galaxy Quest a go. Chances are that it is better than you think it could be. (4.5*)

This movie is not going to win any awards and it is cheesy in places, but it's a fun adventure with a lot of heart. By the end of this film you will likely grow to feel for these characters if you allow yourself to set aside criticism. It's "The Santa Clause in Space" for Grownups. It tries to be Star Trek and mostly it successfully accomplished this goal. I like the characters quirky personalities and I genuinely enjoyed this movie.

This is an unusual film. It is a loving parody of Star Trek and Trek fandom, but at the same time it has a serious enough (and, in context, believable enough) plot to make it engaging as more than just a parody. The blu-ray provides clear detail without unnecessary DNR or edge enhancement and the audio gives one's system a workout. Conclusion: Fun and 'functional'. ;)

Galaxy Quest is one of my favorite comedies. I love how they spoof Star Trek and fan base that Star Trek or any sci-fi genre has. The cast is perfect with Tim Allen leading the charge. This film is not like other Allen comedies but Allen captures William Shatner's persona to the tee. I highly recommend this film for fans of both Star Trek and Tim Allen.

A group of aliens who have mistaken intercepted television transmissions for "historical documents" arrive at a convention and whisk "Commander Peter Quincy Taggart" and his crew into space to help them in their all-too-real war against a deadly adversary. With no script, no director and no clue about real space travel, the actors have to turn in the performances of their lives to become the heroes the aliens believe them to be.

A light hearted parody of the Star Trek following. A Starship captain living off the old series gets a visit from out of this world fans. He gathers the old team to save a peaceful people from a menacing, maniacal bad guy(?).

This movie was hilarious when it first came out, and it still is. The 4K version looks great. My only wish would be for them to have upgraded the sound. There’s nothing wrong with it, but I’m sure it would benefit from Atmos surround sound.

After not seeing this movie in years, I got the chance when I purchased it for my boyfriend. It's just as funny today as it was the first time I saw it. The extras on the disc are quite good. (Especially the language choices!) Even if you aren't a sci-fi fan, you will get a kick out of this movie.

Galaxy Quest is a good take off of the old star trek, its a great movie for the family and has a lot of good cast members. A funny, thrilling movie and over all fun to watch over and over again. It may have been made in the 20th century but it still cool to watch.

I would clearly recommend this movie to anyone who knows the original Star Trek and likes spoofs. If you like it as much as I do, the quality and pricing of the BluRay DVD is fair value for having this classic available anytime you feel like it and being independent of streaming...
