Amazing!! The best series I have ever seen on tv. Highly recommended!!!

Great product and packaging absolutely love this series

Amazing collection of one of the best TV shows to ever be released. The video and sound quality are fantastic…with a caveat. If you buy, make sure you inspect your discs. The set I purchased had 3 discs with some pretty serious scratches in them. I went to Best Buy to exchange the set. I decided to open it right at the service desk in case the new set had issues. Upon opening, season one, disc one, scratched! I didn’t need to go any further. The cashier was nice enough to let me swap out the discs that were damaged in my original set. The factory where these are made must have some terrible quality control. Not good for such an expensive box set. It’s a great set. Just make sure you inspect your discs. Nothing would be worse than getting through 7 seasons of this and then having the discs freeze or skip due to scratches. And then being stuck with broken merchandise!

The box set and artwork is the main attraction. The digital download and recent discount was a can’t miss opportunity. The digital download is only available on Vudu, which was disappointing. I have the majority of my digital downloads on Movies Anywhere and Apple, with <10 on Google Play and Vudu. The way the discs are arranged inside the cases was disappointing. You’ve seen cases with multiple discs but they’re separated with a thin plastic tab that can hold 4 discs in one case, this doesn’t have that. 9 cases total, 8 black 4K cases, with 4 discs in seasons 1-6 stacked on top of each other, 2x2. Seasons 7-8 with three discs, 2 stacked and one alone, 9th case, bonus features, Blu-ray, with 3 discs separated with the plastic partition like the previous 8 cases should be. In conclusion, the series, again is excellent, but the packaging, for the price, even though discounted, should be better than this. The digital download should be available on more platforms, but I’m sure it’s down to competing companies to applying these restrictions. It’d be nice to know beforehand that the digital download is only available on Vudu. The series is well known (spoiler)……………….except for how it ended.

It's game of thrones on 4K. That's it. Nothing else really special about it. When I saw this in the store, I thought the packaging looked really cool. And, I had expressed the desire to my wife about rewatching the series, so I figured "why not" and picked it up. I'm not saying the set is bad, but, it's nothing special. I believe the packaging is as cheap as it needs to be to still be eye catching through the plastic wrap on the outside but serviceable at best once opened. It was just sitting on the counter and it already has a rip on the outer sleeve. But I mean, yeah, it's Game of Thrones on 4K. That's it. I will say that the second biggest downside, apart from the packaging, which is the first, is that there are only 3 episodes per disc. So, you'll have to swap out the discs pretty often. Though, I get it, because you can only fit so much 4K content on a single disc. Still, though, heads up, that's the deal. Your decision to buy this should be pretty straightforward; either you want to own Game of Thrones on 4K Blu Ray or you don't. There's no special gotchas or other side reasons to splurge for this....it is what it is.

As another recent reviewer said, beware that this purchase will not honor the digital code. I purchased this for my family on 12/21/2023 just in time for Christmas. We opened it last night and tried to redeem the code and it said it was expired. I had checked prior to purchase to ensure that a digital code was included and I saw it in the specifications that it was. When I purchased it, the box did say digital copy included, but it also had in small print that it expires on 12/31/2022. Therefore I checked the digital copy right away and it did not work. This is false advertising in my mind as the only reason I purchased this whole set was to get the whole thing on digital. I already have some of the seasons on blu ray, but did not have all of the corresponding digital copies. Warner Brothers will not honor my request for an updated code and I will check and see if Best Buy can help me with that. They should have removed the digital code specification if it did not have it. The strange thing is that now when I look at the documentation it doesn't say digital copy anywhere, but it did a few days ago. That is very frustrating.

Watching GoT in Dolby Vision HDR and listening to this in Dolby Atmos is leaps and bounds better over watching the series on HBO. You really don’t know what you are missing until you own this series on 4K Blu-ray. The shadow detail and color amazed me especially in dark scenes that you couldn’t even see when it was on HBO. The Atmos soundtrack immerses you so much better and the bass is awesome. And of course the series is one of the best of all time. Best Buy priced matched it with another store which I will not mention but the money I saved made it a no brainer Best Buy! If you are a fan of Game of Thrones this is the copy to own. Don’t waste your money on the DVD or the regular Blu-ray copies if you want the Best Buy!

Well this show is God tier and you should give it a watch. 3 stars because my copy had many faulty discs. I wish I would’ve known before my warranty expired.

My sister suggested the series to me during the 5th season. I watched the first episode of the first season, then lost interest. It wasn’t until months after the series had ended that I finally found the interest again. After watching the first episode a second time followed by the second, I was completely hooked. I binged watched the complete series and wondered why it had taken me so long to catch on to this phenomenally written story. For anyone who likes films of this genre and has not seen the series, I highly recommend you do. My love for GOT was enough to justify getting the 4K set. It is a bit pricey, but the picture quality is well worth the money. You will not be disappointed.

Picture quality is OUTSTANDING! The packaging I give 2 stars. For each season there are 4 discs. The stack 2 discs on top of each other with no separation. This is NOT acceptable for a 200 dollar set. Pretty disappointed with that to be honest.

This is an incredible set. I was a little worried about ordering it, as some of the reviews have said they have had problems with the discs. I'm about to start Season 7, and so far I've not had any problems. Before playing each disc I have given it a good wipe with a microfiber cloth, so I don't know if this has helped, or I just got lucky. The Dolby Vision is fantastic, and the Dolby Atmos sounds amazing on my Sonos Arc, Sub and Surrounds. I would highly recommend this set to any Game of Thrones fan. You won't regret it.

Purchased specifically for the digital copy so I can watch it anywhere on my Vudu account. When I attempted to activate the code, it didn't work! I contacted HBO and had to go through an annoying process of providing photos of the product (with every single DVD case open) and the receipt. Finally received a code about a week later. Looked online and it appeared to be a common problem with HBO digital codes. I guess it's not a specific problem to the show or Best Buy but it did ruin the experience of the entire purchase.

Really enjoyed rewatching this entire series in 4K. The long battle scene was MUCH better - you could actually see what was going on. The first set we brought home had a defective disc but Best Buy promptly replaced it with another set which worked flawlessly. The set was a bit pricey but we do enjoy rewatching this series from time to time; this was our fourth time watching it, so much more enjoyable to binge watch it back to back so you don't lose the continuity of what's going on as much as watching it when it was being broadcast weekly. So I think overall it will be money well spent for us and the quality of the recording is stellar.

Wasn't able to watch this when it was on TV, due to my schedule, so anxiously awaited it's arrival on 4K blu ray....! It was worth the wait....! Very entertaining and addictive to watch. Like a great book, couldn't put it down (or turn it off).....! Had to pace myself....my dogs thought I had abandoned them, while I was watching this series. So had to pause, and then return so they could get their walks and play time in....! I am really enjoying this.....and glad that it is the Winter season, so as the weather is bad outside here, I can watch and stay comfy. Highly recommended.....5 STARS from me.....!

This is a good show for 4K because of the scenery seems real. Some discs are on top of each other that doesn’t bother me too much. There is a lot of extras. It does not keep my place when I hit stop which I don’t like. Great picture and sound. The hole set is also free on digital extras and all. Mine automatically went to Vudu so I don’t know if you can stream it elsewhere but Vudu is free so you can watch your library anytime.

The best looking version of GOT you can get...but! I am disappointed by a couple things. Why HBO didn't release season 2 to 6 individually in 4k is annoying. I already had season 1 and 7 and 8 in 4k and the only way to get the rest is with the box set. If you are like me, wait for a sale so you don't feel ripped off to get this. The packaging isn't the best either with the doubling up on the discs per slot.
