Gangster Squad is another film set in silver age Hollywood right after WW II. A group of Police named you guessed it Gangster Squad as they set to arrest Mickey Cohen. Which they soon realize will be tougher than they initially thought. The G.S. Has to watch out for gangsters, crooked cops all of whom are to get them; Once they start to become a inconvenience to Mickey Cohen. The final confrontation with Cohen is pretty good where he is holed-up in motel. Where the G.S. Has to go through droves of goons before they finally arrest Cohen.

Outstanding movie; high action and great DVD in bluray, sound is phenomenal on my Def Tech. Get this movie it is one I'll watch again and again!

Great story with great characters. It is based on a true story, but majority of events are fabricated to make the story interesting, which it is, without a doubt. Great action in fights, shootouts, and even the music is great. Really shows the era it is from.

Bin looking for this movie for awhile, too casually found it at the 3.99 bin at best buy...was as steal... great 1940s style action with great cast and story line.... of the detective gun show era ...

Great plot about good guys vs bad guys. Details corruption at the highest levels in Los Angeles city government. Some names you will recognize. Story moves along quickly and is action packed.

This film took a while to get into. The cast is fantastic but there’s something a little off about this film.

Meh. I'm not gonna say you gotta watch this here. But I'm not gonna say you shouldn't. Good looking people moving through moody lighting. What the heck, right? You only live once.

The story parallels The Untouchables very much, even if it is derivative it's very entertaining

If you like the roaring 20’s and learning about some of the gangsters, this movie is for you. Lots of action, romance and great storyline!

You cant even tell part of the movie is CGI, the acting and story line was great and bestbuy offered a good deal!
