      the battery charges fast and it quickly acquires Satellites. destination can be entered as a street, intersection or the name of the place. We encountered a major problem late at night when we were returning from an out-of-state trip. I495 was closed and the Garmin kept directing us to go on it. we followed the orange detour signs, but they stopped without directing us where else to go. the Garmin just brought us back to the closed Entrance. My daughter's phone was able to help us navigate around the detour.

      I just recently purchased this garmin nuvi55. This is ok, Guiding correctly till now. As of now not faced any issue with this.

      I got this GPS for my fiance and it works great. Easy to set up and easy to use. Very user friendly and love the school zone speed limit warning that it comes with and all of the interest point icons. Good sized screen too and fits nicely on the friction dash mount. Good price and Highly recommended for someone that just wants a basic GPS unit.
