Opened the night b4 going out for 2 rounds of golf so it was well charged and ready for the day. Got to the course, activated it and it immediately located my course. from the 1st tee to the last it never let me down and I shot my best score EVER. Why I wanted so long to get one of these bad boys I don't understand, but I won't shoot another game with out it. Light weight & easy to use for anyone! Battery was alomost depleated after 2 rounds, but thats ok, because at my old age 2 rounds is considered a good day in my book. Everyone I play with has ended up buying one!

This GPS Golf watch met the exact needs I was looking for. If you want to have a good idea of your distance to the green and not worry about carrying your phone or another device with you, this is the watch for you. If you need additional features, like distance to hazards, or a color screen, or shot tracking, you'll want to look elsewhere. I put this through the paces playing 90 holes in 4 days right after buying it, and it held up well. I recharged each night, and it could get me through 36 holes in a single day. I had not worn a watch in years, but that didn't seem to affect my swing or my game at all. It was great getting out of the cart, walking to the ball and being able to see the distance to the green without hunting for sprinkler heads or pacing steps from the nearest yardage marker. The watch also seemed to be very consistent with other GPS devices in use during the rounds.

Just what I wanted. The watch gives me the yardage I need and doesn't add a lot of frills. My buddy got the upgraded version which syncs with his phone to let him get text messages and lets him know if someone called him. I didn't want all that so this watch gives you what you need on the the golf course.

Took it out of the box, connected to my computer to update it. This was very easy to do. No hassles in updating. Went outside, picked up signal, located all the courses inn my area. DId=stances match up with the courses. Price was right, purchased as a deal of the day. CHecked other sites and ebay and by far the price I paid was lower than anywhere else.

This is a great golf GPS for the price. It is easy to use and boots up quickly when starting a round. It is easy to charge and seems to be very accurate as well. I have another GPS and both are within a few yards of each other.

All my friends have those radio type gadgets and have to read off yardages to each other. My watch hangs on my bag at the back of the cart so we both can see it and not interrupt one's concentration. Lightweight if it's cartpath only. So very easy to see and use.

I debated between this and a laser rangefinder. I much prefer this for the ease of use at just glancing at my wrist. It is a few generations old, but I felt no need for al the bells and whistles on the newer ones. This does one thing, tell me the distance to each hole, and does it amazingly well. I compare it all the time to course markers and cart GPS and it is always dead on.

Perfect. No need to spend more. It gives you the distance and it is light. Easy to use.

It shows me the yardage which is what I wanted and the battery lasted for more than a couple of rounds.

My husband loves his Garmin and was pleasantly surprised with all the courses programed in. Of course, all his friends are jealous!

The course we play in league every week has GPS on the carts and the Garmin unit distances are always within a yard of them. Can't wait to use it on a course with no GPS.

The watch is easy to set up. No trouble finding golf course being played Executes with no hassle. Am excited about more use after the snow flies and the Robins return to Iowa!

I've only been using a few times now but really seem to like it. Even finds information on small Missouri courses that I only occasionally play at.

I put off buying a GPS device since I have a nice laser. But at $100 I decided to try this one with the basic functions and small size. I've used it a couple of times and am quite happy with it. The display is large and clear. The odometer works on and off the course so if you want distances for exercise or walking the dog this is really slick. It is also waterproof/resistant which is important outdoors in the Northwest.

Great cheap golf gps wristwatch. Satellites sync'd quickly and seemed accurate. just front, mid, back --

I have used the garmin approach s1 several times and the distances are very accurate, the battery life is good and it seems to be durable and is easy to use.

Turn it on, let it locate and you're ready to go. It can't be any simpler than that. Hope it's easy to update in a couple years...

This is a tremendous help, especially when on an unfamiliar course. It is very easy to use and the battery lasts longer than I expected.

This is a great GPS watch at a good price. You never need to pay for a membership.
